"The habit of lying down after meals is the cause"... Lee Jin-sil expresses concerns over 93kg weight and belly fat
Lee Jin-sil, a former dance major and educator, shared her struggles with rapid weight gain and health issues following menopause. She revealed that her habit of lying down after meals and physical limitations caused by her weight have hindered her weight loss efforts.

Lee Jin-sil, who majored in dance and has been active as an educator, confessed to the difficulties caused by rapid changes in her weight and health status following menopause.
According to a video from TV CHOSUN LIFE's 'The Great Doctor's Health Guide' broadcast on the 24th, Lee Jin-sil revealed that she spends her daily life struggling with full-body pain and edema every morning. In the video, Lee Jin-sil faces a swollen face as soon as she opens her eyes and mentioned that her body seems to swell because her metabolism is not functioning smoothly.

"Exercise equipment is used as coat hangers"... Physical limitations due to weight
Lee Jin-sil explained that not being able to eat meals on time due to a busy schedule in the past, or the habit of lying down immediately after meals, influenced her current weight change. While she was able to control her weight in her youth through small meals and exercise alone, after menopause, her belly fat does not come off easily. Currently, Lee Jin-sil's weight has exceeded 93kg.
The story also revealed that she cannot even properly use the exercise equipment she purchased for dieting. In the video, Lee Jin-sil stated, "I bought exercise equipment but I'm using it as coat hangers," and shared her experience of feeling injuries while attempting exercise because her ankles had weakened due to her weight. Physical limitations, such as falling on stairs because her lower body cannot withstand her weight, are becoming obstacles to her diet.

The reason she has been looking for custom-made clothes for 15 years, "Because I want to wear pretty clothes"
Lee Jin-sil cited not only health but also her 'aesthetic desire' as the reason she wants to lose belly fat. She said, "To be honest, it's because I want to wear pretty clothes," and mentioned that she has worn custom-made clothes for a long time because it is difficult to find ready-to-wear clothes that fit her waist size or bra size. In the video where she actually visits a custom clothing shop in a market, Lee Jin-sil announced that she has been having clothes made there for 15 years. Her belly fat measurement has also increased from 43 inches to 47 inches.
Lee Jin-sil is reducing her food intake to control her diet, but she is experiencing a vicious cycle of constantly lying down because she lacks energy. She expressed her distress as her weight does not decrease as expected, despite her efforts to burn fat by visiting jjimjilbangs (Korean saunas) and replacing meals with sikhye (sweet rice drink) and eggs to control her diet.
Middle-age obesity, the key is activating 'brown fat'
Through Lee Jin-sil's case, the video warned of the dangers of visceral obesity that occurs after middle age. It explained that obesity is one of the major causes of shortened lifespan, and especially after middle age, the body changes into a constitution that gains weight easily because 'brown fat,' which plays a role in burning fat, decreases. An expert (an individual appearing in the video) added that the key to weight loss is to turn the stopped brown fat switch back on so that it can perform its role.
