'Concept Korea,' a global fashion program hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by KOCCA, will hold its 2027 S/S season runway at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris on October 1.

This season, designer brands BONBOM and ASPARAGUS will participate to showcase their respective collections.

BONBOM will unveil a collection titled 'Optimistic Fetishism,' which reinterprets the desires inherent in fetishism with bright energy. The brand plans to express contrasting images through silhouettes that utilize volume differences between the front and sides, as well as see-through knits.

ASPARAGUS will capture the tension between opposing elements such as masculinity and femininity, structure and softness, under the theme 'BETWEEN BOUNDARIES, WITHIN TENSION.' The brand will compose a stage that combines deconstructed silhouettes with sound and performance.

This edition of Concept Korea will feature a unique format, releasing fashion films prior to the runway shows.

The fashion film 'How to Walk' will make its premiere at 'Madame Cinéma,' a screening room within the Palais de Tokyo. The program aims to connect the brand worlds presented in the films to the runway, integrating fashion and video content into a single continuous flow.

Director Yi Okseop, who participated in the 2022 S/S New York Fashion Week project, is directing the fashion films. Actress Kim Min Ha and model Hong Tae-jun will appear, reconstructing stories originating from the BONBOM and ASPARAGUS collections into a cinematic narrative.

The work explores the boundaries between contrasting concepts such as the individual and the collective, freedom and oppression, and observation and control, reflecting the design elements of the two brands within the film.

Shownu and Hyung-won of MONSTA X will participate as official ambassadors. The two are scheduled to attend the runway to join the program, which links fashion, film, and K-pop.

Concept Korea explained that this season's program was structured to combine fashion with film, music, and artists to commemorate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France.

Meanwhile, the fashion film 'How to Walk' is scheduled to be released online through the official YouTube channels of KOCCA and 2X9HD on the day of the runway.
