Infinic deploys AURON-i Safety at Lotte Department Store

Infinic, also known as Collectera, has implemented its AI-driven CCTV video analysis solution at Lotte Department Store.

On the 21st, Infinic announced that it has supplied its intelligent video analysis solution, AURON-i Safety, to Lotte Department Store.

AURON-i Safety uses AI to analyze Closed-Circuit Television (CC) TV footage in real time, automatically detecting abnormal situations on-site and supporting the response of monitoring personnel through alarms and warning sounds. A key feature of the solution is that it can apply AI video analysis functions to existing CCTV infrastructure without the need for additional sensors, video equipment, or wiring work, thereby reducing construction costs and the burden of on-site installation.

Implemented at the Lotte Department Store main branch, AURON-i Safety analyzes footage from a total of 72 existing CCTVs to detect escalator stoppages in real time.

Prior to the deployment, Infinic conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) using various CCTV footage, including standard and fisheye cameras currently operating on-site, to verify detection performance. Based on these results, the company established a safety monitoring environment by applying AI video analysis functions optimized for real-world operating conditions.

AURON-i Safety addresses the limitations of traditional monitoring, where a limited number of personnel must manually check numerous CCTV screens, by automatically identifying abnormal situations and supporting rapid initial responses.

The company plans to continuously advance safety monitoring for multi-use facilities like department stores by expanding into various AI video analysis functions, such as fall detection, detecting passengers on strollers or carriers, and locating missing children.
