Privacy Policy

'NBNTV' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Company') values your information and maintains the following Privacy Policy. The Company complies with the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc." and informs you of how your information is used, the purposes for which it is used, and the measures taken to protect your personal information. Article 2 Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Company collects personal information for the following purposes:

  • Fulfillment of contracts regarding service provision and settlement of fees following service provision: Content provision, sending invoices, identity verification, product delivery, purchase and payment, financial services
  • Member management: Identity verification for using membership services, personal identification, prevention of unauthorized use by malicious members and unauthorized use, verification of intent to join and age, verification of legal representative's consent when collecting personal information of children under 14, handling complaints and civil petitions, delivery of notices
  • Marketing and advertising such as service guidance: Development and specialization of new services, provision of services and placement of advertisements based on demographic characteristics, identification of access frequency, statistics on member service usage, delivery of advertising information such as events

Article 3 Consent to Collection of Personal Information

The Company obtains consent for the collection of your personal information. During the membership registration process within the Company, a procedure for consenting to the collection of personal information is provided within the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you check the ['I agree to the Terms and Policies'] box, you are deemed to have consented to the collection of your personal information.

Article 4 Current Status of Use of Personal Information

The Company uses the personal information of users within the scope notified in 'Article 2: Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information.' Without the user's prior consent, the Company will not use information beyond this scope or, in principle, disclose the user's personal information to third parties. However, the following cases are exceptions:

Article 6 Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

  • While a service user continues to use the services as a member of the Company, the Company will continuously retain the user's personal information and use it to provide services.
  • The personal information of service users will be destroyed in an irrecoverable manner once the purpose of its collection and use (including temporary purposes such as surveys, events, etc.) is achieved, or if the user directly deletes it or withdraws from membership.
  • In the event of requests to prevent abuse or misuse of user rights, disputes regarding infringement of rights/defamation, or cooperation with investigations, the Company may store the member's personal information for one year from the termination of the member's use contract to prepare against recurrence.

Reasons for Information Retention according to Relevant Laws

If it is necessary to preserve information in accordance with the provisions of relevant laws, such as the Commercial Act and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Company will store the member information for a certain period specified by the relevant laws. In this case, the Company will use the stored information only for the purpose of its storage, and the retention periods are as follows:

  • Records regarding payment and supply of goods, etc.: Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (5 years)

Article 7 Procedure and Method of Destruction of Personal Information

Members may access or correct their registered personal information at any time and may request membership withdrawal. Accessing and modifying personal information is possible after logging in through the 'Change Member Information' section on the site; items other than ID and name can be modified. If you wish to withdraw membership, you may do so within the site; please consider your withdrawal carefully as all registered information will be destroyed upon withdrawal. Additionally, there may be restrictions on re-registering after withdrawal.

Destruction Procedure

  • Information entered by the user for membership registration, etc., will be moved to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper) after the purpose is achieved, stored for a certain period according to internal policies and other relevant information protection laws, and then destroyed.
  • This personal information will not be used for any other purpose other than the purpose for which it is held, unless required by law.

Destruction Method

  • Personal information stored in electronic file format will be deleted using technical methods that make the records irrecoverable.

Article 8 Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them

  • Users and legal representatives may inquire about or modify their own or the personal information of a child under 14 at any time and may also request membership withdrawal.
  • To inquire about or modify the personal information of a user or a child under 14, click 'Modify Member Information,' and for membership withdrawal, click 'Withdraw Membership' to undergo identity verification and directly access, correct, or withdraw. Alternatively, if you contact the Privacy Officer in writing, by phone, or by e-mail, we will take action without delay.
  • If a user requests correction of errors in personal information, the Company will not use or provide said personal information until the correction is completed. Furthermore, if incorrect personal information has already been provided to a third party, we will notify the third party of the correction results without delay to ensure the correction is made.
  • Personal information that is terminated or deleted at the request of a user or legal representative is processed in accordance with the "Retention and Use Period of Personal Information" and is processed so that it cannot be accessed or used for other purposes. As data subjects, users may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of personal information in accordance with relevant laws.
  • The Company will notify the user of its actions regarding such requests within 10 days. Requests for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of personal information should be submitted to the Company.

Article 9 Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Collection Devices

  • A cookie is a small data file sent by an HTTP server to a user's browser and is stored on the member's computer. The Company uses these cookies to obtain the member's browser type or service usage patterns, and uses this cookie information to provide useful and more convenient customized services to the member.
  • Members have the right to choose regarding cookies. By selecting options in your web browser, you can allow all cookies, request confirmation each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookie storage. However, if you refuse the storage of cookies, you will not be able to use all of the Company's services that require login.

Article 10 Technical and Managerial Measures for Personal Information Protection

Your personal information is protected by a password. The password for your account is known only to you, and the verification and modification of personal information can only be done by you, the person who knows the password. Therefore, you must not disclose your password to anyone. Additionally, it is advisable to log out and close your web browser after completing your tasks. These procedures are especially necessary when sharing a computer with others or using it in public places to prevent personal information from being disclosed to others. The Company is not responsible for the leakage of personal information due to user negligence or problems on the internet.

The Company implements the following technical and managerial measures for personal information protection:

  • We are making every effort to maintain firewalls and security systems to prevent hacking.
  • We protect information by installing SSL security server certificates when transmitting and receiving personal information.
  • Access to personal information is limited to the personnel performing the relevant tasks or those for whom processing personal information is inevitable during task execution, preventing other employees from accessing it.
  • In the case of personal information processors, regular and occasional training is conducted.
  • Access records of the personal information processing system are maintained and regularly inspected and supervised.
  • Protective measures are implemented when printing or copying personal information.

Article 11 Personal Information of Children

  • In principle, the Company does not collect the personal information of children under 14. However, in special cases, the personal information of children may be collected with the consent of a legal representative.
  • The Company does my best to protect your personal information. However, in addition to these efforts, members themselves must be careful not to expose passwords, etc., to third parties. In particular, please always be mindful not to let passwords, etc., be leaked through PCs installed in public places.
  • Under no circumstances will the Company ask for a user's password via telephone or e-mail. Therefore, please ensure that only you use your ID and password, and it is recommended to change your password frequently. While the Company does its best to protect personal information, it is not responsible for the leakage of personal information that does not stem from the member's personal mistake or the Company's negligence.

Article 13 Addenda
