Seal Online mobile game secures Chinese approval
Playwith Games secures NPPA approval for a mobile game based on the Seal Online IP, targeting a launch in China by the fourth quarter.
| NBNTV = Jung Dong-jin | Seal Online has begun building its presence in the Chinese market.

According to Playwith Games on the 1st, China's National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) updated its website on the 31st with information regarding the approval of imported online games (Panho issuance) for 2026.
The newly released approvals include new titles from major Korean game companies, as well as a mobile game utilizing the Seal Online IP currently serviced by Playwith Korea.
The game that obtained the Panho will be serviced in China under the name 希望之启航 (Xiwang Zhi Qihang). Seal Online was previously serviced in China as Hope OL (希望OL), and Playwith Games has been developing the project following a mobile game development contract with the Chinese company Kingnet Network using the Seal Online IP.
The local Chinese partner is reportedly coordinating plans and schedules with the goal of launching the service in China within the fourth quarter of this year.
With this Panho acquisition, Playwith Korea and its representative partner, Playwith Games, can now accelerate the official Chinese service of the mobile game based on the Seal Online IP.
A Panho is a mandatory permit required to service games in China, and games developed overseas fall under the category of foreign-funded Panho issuance.
Playwith Korea has also signed a Seal Online mobile expansion contract with Beijing Ruiwo Technology in China and is working with MAXION Games in Thailand through a Seal IP licensing agreement to develop new titles for the local market. While continuing to expand the Seal IP globally, the company is also preparing for the release of the highly anticipated Seal M2 in the second half of this year in Korea.
A Playwith official stated, "This Panho acquisition is an opportunity to once again confirm the global competitiveness of the Seal Online IP. We are continuously expanding the Seal IP business in the global market, including China, while making every effort for the successful launch of Seal M2 in Korea."
