According to Smilegate, Beu Games, and others on the 27th, the roguelike action game Neon Abyss 2 will soon be released as a full version for PC following the conclusion of its early access phase.

Neon Abyss 2, which first debuted in early access in 2025, announced its official launch alongside a new trailer revealed during the Future Games Show held during Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. The game is set in the Abyss, a pixel-art world where cyberpunk elements and mythology blend together.

In the game, players fall in New Athens and realize that while death is easy, the true punishment is survival, leading them to step into the Abyss. Alongside their loyal companion Hatchmon, they begin a journey of revenge, aiming their blades at both old and new gods.

Since its early access launch, Neon Abyss 2 has continuously evolved through active communication with players. Through major updates reflecting user feedback, such as the deadly Carnival and the light-stealing shadows, the game has added mesmerizing yet eerie new bosses, new weapon grades and affixes, more agents, and new play modes.

The core fun of Neon Abyss 2—4-player cooperative brawling—has also become even more free-form. Players can enjoy diverse run-and-gun action by combining various styles, ranging from high-impact melee weapons to ruthless long-range firearms.

At the time of its early access launch, Neon Abyss 2 received steady interest, including many expectant reviews and supportive comments from domestic gaming communities. Ahead of this official release, Smilegate plans to maintain its connection with Korean players by continuing to support local marketing and improving the quality of the Korean localization.
