Singer Seong Hyeon-woo has been appointed as an ambassador for 'Youth Day,' delivering messages of support to the younger generation.

Through his YouTube channel, Seong released a video documenting his visit to the National Assembly to receive his official appointment certificate. In the video, he expressed his gratitude to his subscribers, noting that it was thanks to them that he was able to visit the National Assembly.

National Assembly ceremony and commitment to the role

The video captures the moment Seong received his certificate at the National Assembly. During the ceremony, it was announced that Seong is scheduled to perform a special stage at this year's main 'Youth Day' event. After receiving his appointment, Seong shared his resolve, stating, "I feel that I must always live uprightly with a sense of responsibility."

Interviews at Hongik University: The reality of youth employment concerns

As part of his ambassadorial duties, Seong headed to the streets of Hongik University to engage directly with young people. While conducting interviews, he handed out mask packs as gifts to those he spoke with. Jeong Seong-hoon, a university student, shared the realistic struggles facing his peers, saying, "All the undergraduates in our department seem to be worrying a lot about what will happen with their employment." Yu Su-min, who lives alone, also shared her concerns: "Since I live by myself, I have to work to make a living, but doing that makes me so busy that I have no leisure time."

During the process, Seong also met a young person who shared that they currently have no dreams. Drawing from his own experiences, Seong expressed empathy, noting in the video that as a singer, if things do not go well and stages become scarce, one can lose their sense of purpose.
