Orion's Hot Break and Mitz hit 10 million sales in 6 months
Orion's classic snack brands Hot Break and Mitz are seeing a massive resurgence among Gen Z through trendy new flavors and revamped designs.
| NBNTV = Kim Min-ho | Orion's steady-selling brands 'Hot Break' and 'Mitz' have begun a massive surge in popularity, capturing the MZ generation through transformations tailored to the latest trends.

Orion announced on the 20th that its 'Hot Break Chewy Cookie Bar,' launched last January, has surpassed 10 million cumulative units sold in just six months, gaining popularity under the nickname 'Hot-Jjon-Ku' (following the trend of 'Du-Jjon-Ku').
'Mitz Hwang Cheese' is also generating significant buzz, with over 1,000 reviews posted on online communities shortly after its launch, while various SNS recipe videos using it as a topping for ice cream and cheese have recorded 2.2 million views.
The resurgence of Hot Break, now in its 41st year, and Mitz, which is 31 years old, is attributed to the company's ability to quickly capture the shifting snack preferences of the 1020 generation and reinvent its steady sellers to match modern trends.
Earlier this year, Orion focused on 'Du-Jjon-Ku' and 'Hwang Cheese,' which gained nationwide popularity. Moving away from the traditional chocolate bar formula of being an energy supplement centered on peanuts, almonds, and nougat, the Hot Break Chewy Cookie Bar was completely redesigned in terms of taste, texture, and packaging. The chewy marshmallow and crispy cookie texture reminiscent of 'Du-Jjon-Ku' has helped it establish itself as a go-to snack for younger consumers, earning the nickname 'Hot-Jjon-Ku.'
Mitz has undergone a complete overhaul of both flavor and color for the first time in 31 years. Mitz Hwang Cheese expanded its flavor profile by utilizing Hwang Cheese, currently one of the trendiest ingredients. The product offers a surprising charm with a yellow color that contrasts with the existing black Mitz Black. The vibrant yellow of the Hwang Cheese has become a piece of content in itself, appearing frequently in SNS photos and as a topping for unique recipes.
An Orion official stated, "Steady sellers that have been loved for a long time are entering a new golden age by adding trendy flavors and freshness. We will continue to provide unique fun and experiences by interpreting the diverse tastes and trends of consumers through a new perspective."
