Artist Jung In-kyung presents 'The Land of Mountains' exhibition

| NBNTV = Ban Jae-dong | An exhibition featuring the works of artist Jung In-kyung, who uses mountains to express the passage of time and life's memories, is being held in Busan. The exhibition introduces her artistic world, centered on her mountain series showcased through solo exhibitions, group shows, and art fairs.

Jung's solo invitation exhibition, 'The Land of Mountains,' is running at Gallery T in the Lotte Department Store Busan Main Store until September 8.

The exhibition features paintings composed of landscapes and colors Jung discovered while climbing and observing mountains. In her work, mountains serve as both natural scenery and a metaphor for the ups and downs experienced throughout life.

The title 'The Land of Mountains' reflects this philosophy. Jung expresses the process of climbing and painting mountains as a way to look back on time passed and to move forward again. Her works depict the shapes and light of the mountains through vivid colors.

A graduate of Ewha Womans University with a degree in Law, Jung has participated in 11 solo exhibitions and more than 40 group exhibitions and art fairs to date.

Jung was selected as an Asiana Hidden Artist for the 2025 Asiana Art Festival and for the Gwanghwamun International Art Festival Asia Contemporary Art Artist Exhibition.

Her accolades include the Encouragement Award at the 17th Seoul International Art Awards, a Special Selection at the 55th Jeollabuk-do Art Exhibition, and the Grand Prize at the 8th Seomjin River Gangcheonsan National Sketching Contest. Her works are held in the collection of the Sunchang Public Okcheongol Museum of Art.

"Artist Jung In-kyung's mountains are landscapes that embrace the time and memories of a person's life," a representative from Gallery T said. "We hope this exhibition provides a warm moment for visitors to remember the paths they have walked with their own unique light."
