"Both Neck and Waist Discs" Kang So Yeon meets sports medicine expert for body diagnosis results
Creator Kang So Yeon visited sports medicine expert Kim Jin-man to diagnose physical pain and imbalances caused by excessive training. The diagnosis revealed issues including round shoulders, collapsed arches, and leg length discrepancies.

Creator Kang So Yeon sought out a sports medicine expert to check her physical pain and body imbalance caused by excessive exercise training.
In a video released on the YouTube channel 'Kang So Yeon / In Love with So Yeon💖', Kang So Yeon met CEO Kim Jin-man, a sports medicine major and operator of the brand 'FIXNESS', to have her physical condition checked. Kang So Yeon revealed that she suffers from both neck and waist discs while increasing her daily training volume to 10km, such as running 40–50 miles a week recently, and has also been experiencing ankle pain lately. Kang So Yeon has completed a loop run in late September and is facing a continuous schedule of upcoming competitions, including the De-treil 10 km in early October, the HYROX Trail Running Competition on November 14, and the Gugongdang Heart Marathon next week.

Body with confirmed imbalances... "Arches have collapsed and there is a difference in leg length"
CEO Kim Jin-man diagnosed Kang So Yeon's condition through 'special tests' that check joint movement, muscle strength, and muscle palpation. As a result of the examination, several indicators of imbalance appeared in Kang So Yeon's body.
First, during the process of checking her shoulder condition, Kang So Yeon showed symptoms of round shoulders, and she was diagnosed that this could be linked to neck pain. In the hip joint test, it was observed that the right side protrudes more, resulting in lower stability, and in the ankle examination, it was confirmed that the arch had collapsed more than before, with the metatarsals moving inward. Kim explained, "There is a fascia that connects to the sole when you press the muscle behind the peroneal bone," adding, "If you release the sole, the rest of the fascia can become loose and flexible." In response, Kang So Yeon asked whether she should start by releasing her soles to alleviate her neck pain.
In particular, differences were also found in the pelvis and leg length. Kim explained that Kang So Yeon's ilium (pelvic bone) height is higher on the right side, and due to structural differences, her right leg is shorter. Kang So Yeon replied that her right leg feels heavier. Additionally, Kang So Yeon showed a decrease in waist mobility along with the phenomenon of her arms falling forward when lifting a bar due to decreased shoulder mobility.
"When muscles are tied up, you must apply pressure"... Customized corrective exercises proceed
Following the diagnosis, customized exercises to improve Kang So Yeon's physical functions continued. To correct round shoulders, Kim suggested 'isometric exercises' that apply strength to the back muscles, and to increase hip joint stability, he instructed movements to maintain balance while slightly bending the knees. It was added that if the knees are straightened, the weight is concentrated on the joints and the muscles cannot be used, so the knees must be bent to allow coordination up to the calves, thighs, and buttocks.
Professional advice on exercise methods also followed. Kim explained that static stretching performed immediately after exercise can delay muscle recovery. This is because a 'taut band' phenomenon, where muscles are tied like bands, can occur. He mentioned using a foam roller like Son Heung-min, saying, "To recover quickly, it is good to press the corresponding area with a massage ball." He also suggested a stretching movement that can be done in bed by dropping the legs diagonally so that the waist does not arch.
At the end of the video, Kang So Yeon conveyed the effect of the corrective exercises, saying, "I feel like my body has become in a state where it can exercise well." Meanwhile, the brand 'FIXNESS' carries the meaning of emphasizing professionalism by changing the 'T' in fitness to 'X (to fix)', and the next video will cover specific training methods based on this diagnosis.
