The YouTube series 'Ttareungman' from the channel 'The Myeonsang' captured a special mukbang journey for those spending the Chuseok holiday alone. "I want to feel my mother's cooking"... Visiting a pocha near Deungchon Station
The presenter chose a popular restaurant near Deungchon Station as the filming location. He explained that when he visited about eight months ago, the food style suited him well, and it was a place where he could feel a sense of nostalgia for his mother, especially given his preference for seafood. The fact that the restaurant owner was born in 1957, the same age as the presenter's mother, was also cited as a reason for the visit.
On-site, the presenter ordered seasonal seafood. Among the dishes served were pomfret sashimi and steamed blue crab. Regarding the menu selection, the presenter expressed high expectations for the seasonal blue crab, saying, "It would be a crime not to eat blue crab." During filming, he also shared his thoughts on the algorithm, mentioning content that recently reached 1 million views.
The sweetness of pomfret sashimi and the taste of seasonal blue crab
Detailed taste evaluations followed. When asked whether Spanish mackerel sashimi or pomfret sashimi was more delicious, the presenter recommended the pomfret, explaining, "Spanish mackerel is fresh fish so it lacks oiliness, while pomfret has a soft texture and is sweet." Upon tasting the pomfret, he expressed satisfaction, noting, "The flesh of the pomfret is sweet."
Next, the main course, steamed blue crab, arrived. The presenter named crustaceans his favorite food and described the taste of the seasonal blue crab as "amazing." In the video, he enjoyed the abundance of the holiday while eating the crab's inner flesh. He added, "To exaggerate a little, one of these is enough for a bottle of soju.""
"18 years since landing in Seoul"... An attitude toward the holiday
The presenter revealed it has been about 18 years since he moved to Seoul and reminisced about past Chuseok holidays. Along with a joke that he "hasn't been in Seoul for very long," he expressed empathy for life in the city by mentioning Roy Kim's song 'Seoul Ibo-seung.' He also delivered a message to those spending the holiday alone: "Just because you are alone doesn't mean you are purely lonely. Since everyone has their own personal growth or stories, I hope you don't think of it as being only lonely.""
Meanwhile, the presenter revealed he is currently quitting smoking and mentioned that he accepted Chimchak Man's suggestion because of his goal to definitely quit within this year. He explained that he has been maintaining his smoking cessation for about fifteen days.
Finally, the presenter greeted viewers, saying, "Have a bountiful Hangawi holiday; eat plenty of delicious food, but please eat in moderation so you don't gain too much weight.""
