According to SOOP on the 16th, the TEKKEN STARS CUP was established as the culmination of an ongoing collaboration between SOOP and the pro gamer Knee for Tekken e-sports tournaments, building upon the 'Knee Cup' competitions that Knee has personally hosted.

Since Knee's move to the platform and his joining of KRX, SOOP has continuously supported the hosting and broadcasting of Tekken DOJO tournaments. Based on their long-term partnership, both parties have progressively expanded the scale and global competitiveness of these competitions.

As a result of these achievements, this tournament has been officially promoted to the CHALLENGER Tier of the Tekken World Tour (TWT) 2026 for the first time in approximately 10 years. It will receive $2,000 in prize money support from Bandai Namco Entertainment, the organizer of TWT. Accordingly, this STARS CUP will be held as the first TWT CHALLENGER Tier tournament in Korea.

The tournament will take place offline at the Freakup Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul, starting at 11:00 AM on the 18th (Sat). Various events, such as prize drawings for offline spectators, will also be held at the studio.

Participants in this tournament include the host Knee, as well as players from domestic professional gaming teams such as KRX Lowhigh, DNS Ulsan, and GENG Mulgold. In addition, many famous Tekken professional e-sports players from around the world, including Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe, are expected to compete in spectacular matches.

The matches will be broadcast live worldwide, and SOOP will be the sole provider of official Korean-language broadcasting within the country.
