Astrae Oratio is facing its first major test as it unveils a playable demo build.
According to NC on the 17th, the company participated in TGS 2026 to showcase Astrae Oratio (hereafter referred to as Asora) and conducted its first public demonstration.
Asora is a new-era magic RPG (Role-Playing Game) published by NC and developed by Dynamis One. In a world where reality and magic coexist, players take on the role of a junior official at the Special District Office, an agency in charge of administering wizards, encountering various characters and incidents throughout the city.
NC set up a dedicated booth for Asora at this Tokyo Game Show, bringing the game's worldview to life in an offline space. The demonstration area was designed with the Special District Office, a major location within the game, as its motif. Visitors can experience the scenario mode and combat mode respectively.
The booth stage was centered around the Tokyo Tower and a large LED screen. On the stage, a scenario screening featuring the early story of the game was held. An exhibition space was also prepared where visitors could experience three-dimensional characters through Samsung Electronics' glasses-free 3D monitor, Spatial Signage.
NC held a Media Preview event on September 17, the first day of Tokyo Game Show 2026. Game Director Im Jong-gyu, who oversees game development, and Art Director Kim In attended to personally introduce the game's features and development direction.
Im stated that they aim to provide an experience where combat and story—the most important contents of the game—are naturally connected.
“We will create the story, art, and combat gameplay into one complete game and expand upon it through live services,” Im said. “Starting with this first demonstration presented at Tokyo Game Show, please watch as the game grows like a serialized series with new stories and characters.”
