Red Velvet secured a bountiful dinner after successfully completing a mission conducted in total darkness.

Red Velvet Members Attempt 5-Person 6-Leg Coordination Mission in the Dark

In EP.4 of 'Level Up! Project Season 6', released on Red Velvet's official YouTube channel on the 11th, the members are seen tackling a "5-person 6-leg" mission. The core challenge required the five members to move in unison with their legs tied together in pitch-black conditions. According to the rules, they were prohibited from moving while the lights were on and could only advance when the lights were off to retrieve dinner menu cards from a table at the end of the living room. Moving while the lights were on would result in a penalty, forcing the group to take one step backward.

Move in the dark, freeze in the light: The '5-person 6-leg' challenge

To prepare for the mission, the members first practiced coordinating their breathing and tying their legs together. As seen in the video, the members worked to synchronize their strides to the count of "One, two." They engaged in intense discussions over which foot to move first, staying hyper-vigilant to avoid any movement when the lights flickered on. With a strict 2-minute time limit to retrieve the menu cards and return to the starting point, the members moved with a sense of urgency.

Throughout the mission, the members demonstrated strong teamwork, coordinating specific movements such as matching strides and lifting their knees in unison. Ultimately, they succeeded in completing the mission within the time limit and secured the dinner menu cards.

From seafood nurungji-tang to chili shrimp: Rewards for success

The menu cards obtained by the members revealed a diverse spread for their dinner. According to the video's subtitles and the members' reactions, the winning menu included seafood nurungji-tang, chili shrimp, neungi mushroom hot pot, and tangsuyuk. The process of checking the cards added a layer of suspense, as some cards contained actual food items while others were "dud" cards. The members checked their cards one by one to see which dishes they had won.

During the meal, the members enjoyed the feast together, offering praise such as "It's really delicious" and "It's light and just right." They were particularly satisfied with the neungi mushroom hot pot and the sashimi.

"My brain wouldn't work": Reflections after the mission

After finishing the meal, the members shared their thoughts on the experience, noting that the mission was far from easy. One member remarked on the difficulty, saying, "My brain wouldn't work," while another added, "There were so many difficult games." Reflecting on the tension of the challenge, they noted that "nothing seemed easy," even when the rules appeared simple at first glance.
