Mmne, a member of the virtual idol group WISHes, has taken her first steps as a solo artist. Through her debut solo music release, 'Orange Flare,' Mmne showcases a rock sound that distinguishes itself from existing virtual music content.
The combination of Chomaeryeok's production and band sound
The new track has garnered significant attention as it was co-produced by Chomaeryeok, a streamer and singer active with the band Annoying Box. Members of Chomaeryeok's band, Assistance Office, participated in the performance, creating a unique composition where a virtual artist performs alongside a real human band. The song is a hybrid rock track that combines hyperpop with pop-punk, layering rocking guitar sounds over the bright, powerful chord progressions characteristic of hyperpop.
The production team assembled to enhance the song's quality is equally impressive. INFX, a composer who works across the K-pop and J-pop scenes with artists such as ISEGYE IDOL, Billlie, and NiziU, collaborated with IRIS, a composer from MonoTree known for lyrical toplines. 'Orange Flare,' signifying an orange signal shot toward the world, reflects Mmne's ambition to brighten the world through her symbolic color.
Music video blurs the line between reality and virtuality
The music video focuses on visually bridging the gap between reality and the virtual world, featuring a mix of outdoor live-action and virtual filming. Scenes of the band performing in a lush grassy field and the combination of the human band and virtual artist set against a concert hall background maximize the song's cheerful energy.
