Lee Chong-Hi reveals first profile shoot: "Excited to show my natural charm"

Artist Lee Chong-Hi has revealed behind-the-scenes moments from his first-ever profile photoshoot, a process filled with both excitement and contemplation. The footage captures the journey of facing his true self, a stark contrast to his glamorous image as a singer.

Lee could not hide his excitement ahead of his first profile photoshoot. Preparing various outfits for the shoot, he headed to the studio and underwent hair and makeup transformations on-site. The core theme of this shoot was "subtraction." Lee explained that while his previous shoots for album covers focused on adding elements to enhance his charisma, this profile shoot was about stripping things away to highlight his natural essence. He noted that he found joy in discovering new charms that differed from the image the public previously knew.

There were also unexpected moments on set. On the way to the Seongsu-dong location, he faced minor setbacks, such as his hair being disheveled by strong winds. However, Lee maintained a relaxed attitude, saying, "It's fine because the profile is meant to have a pure and clean feeling." The shoot proceeded with clean outfits including shirts, jeans, and black jackets, as he engaged actively with the staff on-site.

Facing 750 photos and "decision paralysis"... The passion to retouch them himself

After finishing the shoot, Lee spent time reviewing the results in his studio. The number of photos taken was vast, reaching approximately 750 shots. The process of narrowing these down to the 7 final retouched photos was not easy. Lee expressed the difficulty of choosing, stating, "It is hard to judge because there are many photos where the angle of my head is only slightly different." He also shared the weight of the selection process, noting that it was his first time facing his own face so candidly.

Even after the final 7 retouched photos arrived, Lee's work continued. To share the remaining "B-cut" photos with his fans, he took it upon himself to retouch them. Instead of using professional Photoshop software, he showed his passion by using a photo editing app he typically uses to refine the results. Lee plans to release the completed photos sequentially through his SNS.
