Confined White explores the beauty of lukewarm temperatures and their bond with Bupyeong
Band Confined White discusses their musical philosophy and their special connection to Bupyeong ahead of the Music Flow Festival on August 29.
The band Confined White is focusing on the lukewarm temperature of daily life—neither too hot nor too cold. Ahead of their scheduled appearance at the Music Flow Festival on August 29, the group shared their musical philosophy and the significance of the Bupyeong region.

Solid music created through lukewarm temperatures
Confined White is a band that focuses on the lukewarm sensation of navigating daily life. They create music by maintaining an everyday state that is neither excessively hot nor cold, an attitude that forms the foundation of their unique musical identity.
Rather than pursuing rapid changes, they capture the steady flow of daily life in their music. Moving forward steadily while maintaining the temperature of life is the core of how Confined White approaches their craft. This direction results in music that, while not provocative, leaves a deep resonance with listeners.
The band meets Bupyeong, the roots of music
This interview was conducted as part of a joint project by the Bupyeong Cultural Foundation to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Bupyeong is a historical site where legendary musicians of post-war Korean popular music once established their roots, as it was formerly the site of the U.S. military's ASCAM base. Established in 2006 under the slogan 'Music City,' the Bupyeong Arts Center continues to lead various cultural initiatives centered around the Haenuri Theater and Dalnuri Theater.
Confined White shares a special connection with this historic region. For the band, performing at the Music Flow Festival is more than just a gig; it is an opportunity to reconnect with the very soil that nurtured the region's musical heritage. All eyes are on the synergy that will emerge when the band's lukewarm temperament meets the musical history of Bupyeong.
A continuous flow in the music city of Bupyeong
Through the Bupyeong Arts Center, the Bupyeong Cultural Foundation continues to develop local cultural projects and performances. This project aims to re-examine Bupyeong's musical assets and amplify the voices of currently active artists. The participation of Confined White illustrates the intersection where past heritage and contemporary music meet.
