Lotte Cinema unveils August exclusive lineup for Lotte Cinema Pick and Gwang-eum Cinema
Lotte Cinema reveals its August lineup, featuring exclusive K-animations like 'Free Dogs' and 'Ghost Band' alongside immersive sound experiences.
NBNTV = Kim Min-ho. On the 4th, Lotte Cinema revealed its August lineup of exclusive 'Lotte Cinema Pick' releases and 'Gwang-eum Cinema'—a theater specialized in sound—to add diverse entertainment to the summer movie season.

This month's Lotte Cinema Pick lineup is drawing anticipation by presenting two K-animations, each with its own unique charm.
First, 'Free Dogs,' releasing on the 19th, is a project reuniting directors Oh Seong-yun and Lee Chun-baek, the creators of 'Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild,' which holds the record for the highest number of viewers for a Korean animation. The film depicts the unpredictable journey of puppies. In particular, the voice acting of Doh Kyung-soo, Park So Dam, and Pak Chol-Min, who boast 100% synchronization with the characters, will be paired with a grand performance by a 72-piece Czech orchestra led by music director Lee Ji Soo (known for 'Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild' and 'Architecture 101'), promising to deliver a deep resonance to the audience.
Following this, the fantasy K-pop animation 'Ghost Band,' releasing on August 26, tells the story of 'Mita,' a singer-songwriter who can see spirits, as she forms 'Ghost Band' with four unique ghosts and challenges herself to a dream concert stage against the interference of a major entertainment agency. It is expected to captivate the eyes and ears of audiences this summer with exciting music and an intriguing story.
In the Gwang-eum Cinema, a specialized sound theater that realizes a vivid sense of presence through ultra-low frequency woofers and sound pressure amplification, two works with powerful fandoms will be released to provide an overwhelming sound experience.
First, director Christopher Nolan's new film 'The Odyssey,' releasing on the 5th, will meet the delicate and explosive sound system of Gwang-eum Cinema to maximize immersion. The deep bass production unique to Gwang-eum Cinema will deliver the grand yet delicate score more three-dimensionally, providing an intense thrill as if the audience is right in the middle of the movie.
Additionally, to celebrate its first anniversary of release, 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle' will make a special re-release in Gwang-eum Cinema on the 26th. The spectacular battles and action sounds filled with impact will be realized as heart-pounding vibrations through the unique Gwang-eum sound. It will maximize the scale with grand sound, delivering an auditory pleasure that can only be experienced in a theater.
A Lotte Cinema official stated, "We planned this lineup to provide exclusive content and unrivaled sound experiences that can only be found at Lotte Cinema for audiences visiting theaters during the sweltering summer. We hope they enjoy the pleasure of sound enveloping their entire bodies and the diverse fun in our cool theaters."
