Singer Park Seo-jin has revealed his artistic side through his deep immersion in folk painting. In the August 8 episode of KBS 2TV's 'House Husband 2', Park's recent passion for the art form and his success in a recent contest were highlighted.

During the broadcast, Park's younger sister, Park Hyo-jeong, expressed her surprise at the massive pile of delivery boxes stacked in front of the house. The items Park had ordered online were all supplies for folk painting. Park revealed that he has invested between 20 million and 30 million won into this hobby.

Special Prize win and plans for a 9-piece exhibition

Park recently won a 'Special Prize' in a folk painting contest. Appearing in the studio, he personally shared the news, saying, "I won the Special Prize." He added that his goal is to hold an exhibition later this year.

Regarding the scale of the exhibition, Park stated, "I intend to exhibit about 9 pieces." What began as a hobby is expanding into a serious pursuit following his contest win. Watching the segment in the studio, Lee Yo-won cheered for him, noting, "I think it's good to have a goal."

The sheer volume of delivery boxes containing folk painting supplies at Park's doorstep led Park Hyo-jeong to unbox the items on his behalf. Park was seen deeply engrossed in his work within his dedicated painting room. He mentioned that he even sources traditional items like Jangdo online, highlighting his commitment to the craft.

Following his Special Prize win, Park's sights are now set on his next milestone: a solo exhibition. "My next goal is an exhibition," Park clearly stated in the studio, confirming his plan to showcase approximately 9 works within the year.
