Kwon Eunbi reflects on three debuts and her journey to solo stardom

Singer Kwon Eunbi appeared on the live club content series hosted by the band Jaurim, where she shared her musical journey and her ambitions as a solo artist.

In EP.12 of "Club Goksori," released on September 25, 2026, on the YouTube channel 'Jaurimssi and 2 Others,' Jaurim—dressed in *hanbok* for a Chuseok special—met guest Kwon Eunbi. In the video, Kwon declared herself a fan of Jaurim and spoke candidly about the process of navigating three different debuts to become the solo singer she is today.

Three debuts and her resilience through trials

Kwon revealed that she has undergone a total of three debut processes: starting with her first debut at age 20, followed by her activities with Iz*One at age 24, and finally her solo debut at age 26. She mentioned that her dream of becoming a singer was sparked by a talent show during an elementary school field trip, recounting how she felt like a hero receiving cheers from her friends at the time.

She also opened up about the difficulties faced during her career, confessing that she faced opposition from her parents. Following her parents' wishes for a stable life, she said that during her trainee days, she worked various part-time jobs—including at convenience stores, bakeries, and PC rooms—to pay for her own academy fees. At that time, her brother, who is one year older, also supported her by working part-time to cover her vocal and choreography lessons. Recalling those days, Kwon said, "As a trainee who had become an adult, it felt burdensome to ask for help after things didn't go well once, so I had to earn it myself."

When she faced the uncertain period following the conclusion of Iz*One, she explained her decision to transition to a soloist by saying, "I intuitively judged that it was time to show what I had practiced so far on my own." Looking back, she added, "I wonder if I could have endured it if there hadn't been such trials, but I think it was better that there were trials." She shared that her parents, who are now proud of her Iz*One days, actively support her by bragging about her to everyone in the neighborhood.

'Pro multi-hyphenate' Kwon Eunbi's other life: running a jewelry-style cafe

Beyond her music, Kwon showed her side as a 'multi-hyphenate' active in many fields. Mentioning the cafe she currently operates, she revealed that the space is a place she is deeply attached to as it bears her personal touch. The cafe is named 'Geumbi and Eunbi's Little Attic,' named after her pet dog Geumbi, and she explained it is a space styled like a jewelry shop.

In particular, Kwon introduced a handmade Ruby ade, which she personally developed for her fandom, Ruby, as the cafe's signature menu item. She also expressed her intention to stay connected with fans, stating that she prepares special events for them during her comeback periods.

New song 'DEJAVU' performance and her #1 promise

The highlight of the video was Kwon's performance of her new song 'DEJAVU.' Dressed in *hanbok*, she explained the mood of the track, saying, "I wanted to show my natural image, and I captured the fluttering emotions of summer." On stage, she led the performance by showcasing the song's point choreography, the 'Tte-javu' move.

Kwon also expressed her determination for her new song promotions, making a promise that if 'DEJAVU' reaches number one, she will gift padded jackets to all the staff of 'Club Goksori' and the members of Jaurim. She concluded by emphasizing her work ethic, saying, "I think it would actually be harder if I didn't have work."
