Singer-songwriter DAVINK has unveiled a new single that reimagines the rhythms of 90s funk with a modern sensibility.

According to the official channel Music&NEW, DAVINK released the single 'Ecstasy' on September 22, 2026. The track is part of DAVINK's ongoing 'The way to the land' series and features a funky groove built on electronica foundations.

A fusion of 90s funk and electronica

Following his previous work 'Haeundae,' 'Ecstasy' reconstructs the sensual rhythms and emotions of 90s funk into a contemporary sound. According to the video description, DAVINK blended familiar period textures with his signature trendy and sophisticated sensibility to create a sound where the past and present intersect. Notably, DAVINK recently produced the new single 'Go, Go!' for M.C the MAX, and this latest track further demonstrates his musical direction through a consistent Funky color.

Three-dimensional sound via collaboration with Llwyd and Jay Kim

The collaboration between artists to elevate the track's quality is also noteworthy. Llwyd, who worked with him on 'Haeundae,' joined 'Ecstasy' once again to add depth to the song. Additionally, Jay Kim, leader of the group Common Ground, contributed saxophone performances. Jay Kim previously established a connection with DAVINK through the OST 'Smile' for the drama 'A Gentleman's Dignity.' The resonance of the saxophone layered over the electronica textures creates a richer, more three-dimensional soundscape.
