Seventeen's Dong-yeop debuts as MC, meets DAY6's Young K and Wonpil
Seventeen's Dong-yeop makes his variety show debut as the MC of 'Empty House Great Success,' welcoming DAY6 members Young K and Wonpil.
Dong-yeop, a member of Seventeen, has stepped up as the host for a new variety program, meeting the first guests from DAY6.

The video, released via the YouTube channel 'Jipdaeseong,' featured the first episode of 'Empty House Great Success,' a concept where guests fill the void in a house left empty by the landlord, Daesung. Serving as the MC, Dong-yeop expressed his nerves, saying, "As the first tenant of Empty House Great Success, I am so nervous," and adding, "I will do my best to fill the house so that I don't let the landlord, Daesung, down." Demonstrating his sense of responsibility, Dong-yeop remarked, "If the recording goes well, it's thanks to the guests; if it goes poorly, it's the MC's fault." He also set a specific goal to keep the production team laughing by prohibiting any silence lasting longer than 5 seconds.
Special connections and common interests with DAY6's Young K and Wonpil
The first guests to appear were Young K and Wonpil of DAY6, who showcased a close friendship from the moment they arrived. Dong-yeop greeted them warmly, saying, "I really missed you," while the DAY6 members noted that Dong-yeop is actually a "My Day" who is a fan of Seventeen. Regarding Young K's participation in challenges mentioned by Lee Seok-min, Dong-yeop remarked, "He never skips a request and does them well," to which Young K replied, "I don't skip requests."
The group continued their conversation by sharing common interests, including discovering that Wonpil and Dong-yeop are both baseball fans. When Wonpil revealed, "I like baseball too," Dong-yeop responded enthusiastically, "We might even support the same team." They also discussed color preferences dating back to their trainee days; Dong-yeop mentioned his past preference for black and red, reminiscent of his 'Fire' era, while Wonpil even brought up the color of Dong-yeop's old bicycle.
Honest conversations fill the 'empty house'
The dialogue also touched on episodes regarding Young K's past activities. Regarding past stage productions, Young K mentioned a specific ad-lib by Wonpil that remains a fan favorite. This led to a discussion about Wonpil's recent "half-size incident," an anecdote where he reached his lowest weight and found his stomach capacity had shrunk so much that he felt disappointed after feeling full after only two servings of ramen.
Daesung also lightened the mood with honest stories about food and cost-effectiveness. Daesung recalled being able to eat three whole chickens by himself when he first became an adult, noting that one must work hard to eat to one's heart's content. He continued the lighthearted conversation by sharing that, after testing his appetite with ramen, he found he could now eat up to five servings, unlike in the past.
