Seventeen's Jeonghan reveals rewarding experience as assistant teacher during military service
Seventeen's Jeonghan shares heartfelt stories about his time as an assistant teacher at a special needs school and his upcoming album with Joshua.
Seventeen's Jeonghan shared his reflections on his experience working as an assistant teacher at a special needs school during his military service.

In a video recently released on the YouTube channel 'Channel Full Moon,' Jeonghan met with PD Na Yeong-seok to share updates on his life following his discharge. In the video, Jeonghan reminisced about the time he spent serving as an assistant teacher at a special needs school. He explained that his role involved assisting homeroom teachers so they could conduct their classes effectively.
"Being called 'teacher' was rewarding"
Jeonghan mentioned that life at the special needs school was not always easy. He noted that because some students were unable to sit still during class and would sometimes wander outside, he had to pay close attention to ensure they did not run away. He suggested that significant effort was required to assist the students' learning, such as helping them with their writing.
Despite these challenges, Jeonghan maintained a positive attitude toward the experience. "It was difficult at first, but as I watched the children, my affection for them grew," Jeonghan said. "I thought to myself, 'When else would I ever get to be called teacher?' so it felt good to be addressed by that title." He added that it was a precious experience that allowed him to learn warmth while witnessing the sense of mission held by special education teachers.
Future plans with Joshua
When asked about his activities after discharge, he mentioned collaboration plans with Joshua. Jeonghan revealed that he is currently preparing an album with Joshua to be released in October. Regarding future performances, Jeonghan expressed concerns about leading the flow of the show, saying, "Joshua and I are not the type of friends who talk much, so there is some pressure regarding how we will lead the performance when we get together."
Jeonghan mentioned that he has designated Joshua as the leader to guide the performance.
Meanwhile, Seventeen member Mingyu also appeared in the video to join the celebration for Jeonghan's discharge. Jeonghan, Mingyu, and PD Na Yeong-seok shared a meal while discussing the members' current status and future schedules. Jeonghan also confessed that his weight had dropped to 53kg due to health issues during his service.
