According to Netmarble on the 17th, the company held a media presentation at TGS 2026 for the new title currently under development, Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species, where it unveiled a new original PV.
The presentation at the Netmarble booth during the Tokyo Game Show was hosted by popular Japanese game caster MC OooDa, with famous cosplayer Enako appearing as a special guest. Kim Gyeong-ryul, PD of Netmarble Nexus, and Hirokazu Yamashita, head of the Japanese business division, attended to deliver greetings and introduce the game.
The event highlighted four key pillars of the title: ▲the first-ever game adaptation of the original work, ▲faithful reproduction of the source material, ▲strategic combat, and ▲the Seven Strongest Species. The presentation also featured the debut of the original PV, a live gameplay demonstration, congratulatory messages from the original author (Ryosuke Katari) and the voice actor for the protagonist Sanraku (Yuma Uchida), and details regarding pre-registration and upcoming events.
During the talk session following the demonstration, attendees praised the cutscene direction for its seamless implementation of the animation's style and the immersive voice acting.
Attendees expressed high satisfaction with the gameplay, noting, "It was a magical and fun experience, as if we had actually become the protagonist Sanraku from the animation," and "The action is incredibly satisfying, featuring fast-paced combat with character skill chains and parrying mechanics."
The original PV, unveiled for the first time, drew significant attention as a high-quality 2D video produced in collaboration with C2C, the animation studio behind the original series. The video opens in the Secret Garden Cemetery with the appearance of the unique monster Wezaemon, followed by a showcase of characters including Sanraku and Emul engaging in brief combat.
The footage culminates in a spectacular battle where the trio of protagonists—Sanraku, Arthur Pencilgon, and Oikatcho—join forces against the cemetery keeper Wezaemon. While faithfully maintaining the tone and manner of the original animation, the game offers new visual excitement by integrating unique features such as tag combat and original cinematic direction.
