MJ releases music video for new single '1~10, 1 Minute Before'

Singer MJ has revealed a new musical dimension through the music video for "1~10, 1 Minute Before (Stopped at 9)," the title track from her first single album [Right..?]. As suggested by the title, the song uses sensory visual language to explore incomplete time and the sudden disconnection of relationships. Released on August 19, 2026, at 6 PM (KST), the music video captures fans' attention by visually manifesting MJ's musical universe.

The emotion of being stopped at 9

The music video focuses on visually implementing the song's core theme, "Time Stopped at 9." The direction highlights a state where the numerical flow from 1 to 10 breaks at 9, symbolizing a relationship or situation interrupted just before completion. Spanning 178 seconds, the video translates the song's emotional weight into visual imagery, increasing immersion by intersecting the momentary instant of "1 minute before" with the stagnant state of being "stopped at 9."

Modern disconnection and the narrative of 'Ghosting'

This new song serves as the centerpiece of MJ's first single album, [Right..?]. The hashtags used to describe the track's mood—'#1MinuteBefore', '#ReadAndIgnore1MinuteBefore', and '#Ghosting'—directly address the modern phenomenon of relational disconnection. In particular, the keyword "Ghosting" symbolizes the patterns of communication breakdown in modern society, clarifying the song's emotional backdrop. Much like the question mark posed by the album title [Right..?], MJ uses this work to pose new musical questions that transcend her existing image.

Launching full-scale activities with [Right..?]

MJ's new single signaled the start of her full-scale musical activities as of 6 PM on August 19, 2026. As her debut single album, [Right..?] officially kicked off its journey with the music video release alongside Pre-Save and Pre-Add services. Industry attention is focused on how this track, which blends a unique numerical theme with a narrative of disconnection, will expand MJ's musical spectrum.
