Global audio brand Marshall will host a live performance featuring HYUKOH and local artists in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, this October, as part of an initiative to support domestic independent venues and music communities.
As part of its global campaign 'KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE', Marshall announced it will host 'LIVE FROM YEONNAM : HYUKOH' on October 11 in the vicinity of Channel 1969 and the Dongjin Market parking lot in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul.
The event will consist of live performances, a music flea market, a block party, and live streaming. It is designed as a community-based music event that connects artists, independent venues, local creators, and audiences through music.
The performance will take place at Channel 1969, an independent venue with a capacity of 150 seats. Following Oysters and Sailor Honeymoon, HYUKOH is scheduled to take the stage.
HYUKOH is a band that began its career in small live clubs near Hongdae before expanding to major music festivals both domestically and internationally. By bringing HYUKOH back to a small-scale live space, Marshall aims to highlight the significance of independent venues as the starting points for rookie artists and emerging music cultures.
A block party where the live performance can be watched will be held at the Dongjin Market parking lot near Channel 1969. Content linked to music and the local community will also be provided so that even those unable to enter the venue can experience the live music on-site.
Audience members for the live performance will be recruited through invitations for members of Marshall's membership program 'Amplify', on-site lucky draws, and fan invitation events linked to HYUKOH's offline listening party. Detailed participation methods will be announced through HYUKOH's official social media accounts.
This event is one of the domestic activities of the global campaign 'KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE' led by Marshall. The campaign focuses on supporting independent venues and local music communities where new artists and music cultures are formed, while building long-term relationships with the live music ecosystem.
'MADE OF LOUD', the foundation of the campaign, is a long-term global brand tagline released by Marshall this year. It reflects the brand's commitment to continuously supporting music culture, rooted in an identity grown alongside live music, artists, venues, and music communities.
“Marshall has long stood alongside the artists who create live music, the venues that make it possible, and the communities that love music,” said Issei Iimura, Head of Marketing at Marshall Korea. “Through 'KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE', we will continue to highlight and support the spaces where live music begins and the people who create it.”
Starting with 'LIVE FROM YEONNAM : HYUKOH', Marshall plans to conduct additional activities related to 'KEEP LIVE MUSIC ALIVE' throughout the year.
