IDID Semin expresses excitement for first K-POP Dream Awards appearance

Semin, a member of the group IDID, took the stage at the K-POP Dream Awards and shared his thoughts on his first appearance at the ceremony.

According to a video released on IDID's official channel on September 20, 2026, Semin expressed his feelings during an interview held ahead of the K-POP Dream Awards stage, stating, "It is an honor and I am incredibly excited to be appearing at this massive ceremony marking its 10th anniversary." For the performance, Semin chose a hip outfit reminiscent of the 'Illy Mua' vibe, and the video features a continuous conversation with his members regarding the attire. Notably, Semin mentioned that he has been hearing many compliments about his looks through Bubble recently, noting that he is in a great mood.

After finishing his performance, Semin discussed his outfit and feelings in the video. "I wore a sleeveless top this time, and since it's a winter awards ceremony, I feel a bit sentimental about wearing a sleeveless top," Semin said, adding, "Because I might faint from my cheON dropping."

He continued with his thoughts on the stage, saying, "It was my first time having so many proper rap parts, so I was nervous, but I think I did well. It feels like I performed as much as I prepared." Semin also added a final thought regarding the outfit, saying, "I'll decide to only wear sleeveless tops until the summer awards ceremonies."

Playful conversations with members and on-site atmosphere

The video captures informal conversations between the members before and after the stage. Mentioning his relationship with his teammates, Semin joked, "I don't want to change roommates with Kim Min-jae. I don't just take it; I always tease him too, so I think I definitely need a person to tease." He added, "Kim Min-jae will be with me for life." He also shared an anecdote about eating chicken the previous day, mentioning that he asked Minjeong to eat with him, but since Minjeong refused, he ate alone.

Immediately after the stage, he expressed his gratitude toward PD Semin, who was in charge of filming, saying, "Thank you always for helping us like this to leave behind a good piece of work." He then suggested to member Yucheon that they do a challenge while wearing sleeveless tops, but Yucheon refused, saying, "I'll do it when I become an adult later," revealing the playful atmosphere on site.
