The struggle with the unfamiliar jazz hip hop genre, "Challenging new music every time"

The released video captures the process of CLOSE YOUR EYES members completing the song while receiving direction from the producer in the recording studio for the title track 'Drop That!'. This title track is a jazz hip hop-based song, different from the style the members have previously presented, and the members honestly revealed the unfamiliarity they felt during the recording process.

In the video, the members focused on directing such as "you need to take the rhythm with a laid-back feel" and "give a strong attack" to bring out the rhythm of the song while participating in the recording. One member shared their feelings at the time of recording, saying, "Since we are challenging new music without fail this time as well, it was an unfamiliar song," and "From the moment I first received the demo, I studied, researched, and practiced hard." Another member added, "I worried whether jazz hip hop would suit my voice well, but I worked hard."

Lyrics written by the members themselves and the charm of the hidden chorus

The high level of participation by the members in this title track also drew attention. The members directly participated in writing the lyrics for this title track, and some of those lyrics reflected the members' ideas. One member expressed their ambition, saying, "A tiny bit of my lyrics were included, and just having them included makes me so happy," and "Next time, I want to write more lyrics myself."

There were also changes in the composition of the song. The members explained, "A chorus that was not in the original demo version was added during the final stages," and said, "Since my part is included in the chorus, please pay close attention to that part." This was a change made during the recording process to increase the completeness of the song, and it was mentioned as a point that fans should not miss when listening to the song.

"It will get better the more you listen to it," efforts toward musical perfection

In the recording studio, detailed adjustments continued to bring out the atmosphere of the song. Efforts to implement the texture of the song continued, such as using a whisper singing method mixed with breath to bring out the rhythm with a swing feel, or adjusting the intensity of pronunciation to create a hip hop feel.

While acknowledging that the process of digesting a new genre was not easy, the members showed affection for the song. One member urged, "Every time the genre changes, it is a new challenge. It might be unfamiliar when you first hear it, but it is a song that gets better the more you listen to it, so please listen to it a lot."
