| NBNTV = Reporter Kim Min-ho | Kyochon F&B, the operator of Kyochon Chicken, announced on the 3rd that it held its 'Kyochon 1991 School' brand experience program on the 24th of last month. The event, held at the Kyochon Chicken Songjeong branch in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, hosted 22 Vietnamese students and faculty members from the Department of Hotel Culinary Arts at Andong Science University.

The program was designed to expand engagement with young international audiences interested in Korean cuisine and K-food, while promoting Kyochon's history and values as a leading K-chicken brand.

The event held special significance as it took place at the Songjeong branch in Gumi, the birthplace of the brand. As the very first location where Kyochon began its journey under the name 'Kyochon Tongdak,' the Songjeong branch serves as a symbol of the brand heritage Kyochon has built over 35 years.

Following a theoretical session on Kyochon's growth and Korean chicken culture, students participated in a hands-on cooking workshop. They specifically experienced Kyochon's signature technique of using a brush to carefully apply sauce to each piece of chicken, gaining firsthand insight into the brand's unique flavor profile and long-standing culinary philosophy.

“As a culinary major, it was particularly interesting to experience Kyochon's unique cooking methods and the process of how their products are made,” said one participating Vietnamese student. “I hope to use this experience to study Korean chicken culture and cooking methods more deeply, helping me in my future career.”

Kyochon 1991 School is the company's flagship culinary experience program. After launching for domestic customers in 2023, the program expanded to include international tourists in 2024. Last month, the company further broadened its reach into gastronomic content by collaborating with the Korean Food Promotion Institute to host programs for foreign tourists.

Kyochon plans to continue operating the Kyochon 1991 School for international visitors from countries including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam through partnerships with travel agencies, universities, and various institutions.

“It was especially meaningful to introduce Kyochon's brand story and K-chicken culture to Vietnamese students at our original Gumi location,” a Kyochon F&B representative said. “We will continue to expand opportunities for global customers to experience Kyochon's unique taste, cooking philosophy, and brand values.”
