Artist Lee Suhyun shared her daily life enjoying local food through convenience store items during a business trip to Japan. Despite her busy performance schedule, she provided detailed reviews after tasting various products from Japanese convenience stores.
"Focus on meals rather than sweets" Lee Suhyun's preference for using Japanese convenience stores
Lee Suhyun revealed her convenience store usage habits in the video. She named 7-Eleven as her favorite convenience store, explaining that she prefers meal items over Lawson, which has many desserts or sweet foods. She added, "Since I am not interested in sweets, I don't go to Lawson very often." On the other hand, she mentioned that 7-Eleven has the most products she likes.

Lee Suhyun showed a positive reaction to the quality of convenience store sandwiches, saying, "The bread is really delicious and chewy." After tasting egg sandwiches and ham lettuce sandwiches, she expressed satisfaction, noting that the texture of the bread felt well-fermented. She also shared her experiences with local products by tasting Japanese convenience store fried chicken, rice balls, and pickled bamboo shoots in order. Regarding the pickled bamboo shoots, she mentioned that while there might be mixed feelings about products with a slight aroma compared to those cut thickly, she ate them deliciously because she likes bamboo shoots so much.
Detailed taste evaluations of the meal menus followed. Regarding the rice balls, she evaluated them as being the best to eat alongside others because the rice is fluffy and the savory scent of sesame oil and sesame seeds can be felt. As for the seasoned vegetable dishes, she explained that they are characterized by a pungent aroma, as if wasabi or mustard were added, and a sour taste, and they are good side dishes for rice that are not salty.
Comparing new ramen products... "The difference between the mala flavor and the spicy Mongolian Tanmen"
Lee Suhyun conducted a detailed taste evaluation by comparing two types of new ramen products from 7-Eleven. The first product she tasted was a new ramen with a mala aroma, and she explained, "The noodles are not flour, but have a bouncy glass noodle feel." She mentioned that the product has a smell that mixes tomato and sour aromas, and stated that it suited her taste as it was less stimulating compared to existing red ramyun. While the existing red ramyun is very stimulating, salty, spicy, and has a strong mala feeling when eaten, she added that this product is much less stimulating and is "totally my style."
The product she tasted next was Arctic Ramen, the spicy version of 'Mongolian Tanmen'. Lee Suhyun evaluated this product, saying, "It is much spicier than the original Mongolian Tanmen." She pointed out the difference that, unlike the original product which contains cabbage and soft tofu, this product contains ingredients that feel like artificial meat. She also explained that it feels like only the spiciness has been significantly increased from the delicious taste of the original. She added, "If you are a person who likes spicy food, you must watch this," and expressed her intention to purchase it due to the strong spiciness.
"I want to come back and play properly again" A small record amidst a busy schedule
Lee Suhyun, who could not make enough time due to performance preparations and moving around, mentioned that this video is a record of her daily life. She said, "Since I filmed this by making time in the midst of being busy, there are so many things I unfortunately couldn't capture," and promised that if she comes on a proper trip in the future, she will make a video filled with things she likes. She also mentioned that when she came to Japan in the past, she followed her diet well inside the convenience store, and expressed her intention to introduce that diet as well if given the opportunity.
Lee Suhyun finished the video with a determination to finish her schedule in Japan and return to South Korea to work hard.
