eFun Company to end Deathguard service on Oct. 15

| NBNTV = Jeong Dong-jin | eFun Company will terminate service for Deathguard on Oct. 15. Released on Feb. 8, 2023, the game is ending its run after approximately 3 years and 8 months (1,346 days).

Deathguard was positioned as a second-generation one-handed action MMORPG, focusing on vertical controls for convenience and fast-paced hack-and-slash combat. However, a combination of repetitive auto-battle SYSTEM mechanics, a typical collection-based growth structure, updates that failed to keep pace with content consumption, and monetization pressures during growth stagnation periods led to the end of its lifespan as an action RPG.

New downloads and in-app purchases have already been blocked. Refund applications will be accepted until Oct. 15 for payments made between Aug. 15 and Sept. 14, in accordance with internal standards.

An official from eFun Company stated, "After long discussions with the developer, we have made the heartbreaking decision to terminate the service, judging that it would be difficult to provide a highly satisfying gaming environment and service moving forward."
