Netmarble announced on the 17th that it held a media presentation at TGS 2026 for its new roguelite action RPG, Solo Leveling: Karma, which is currently under development.
At the presentation held at the Netmarble booth during the Tokyo Game Show, Hirokazu Yamashita, Head of Business at Netmarble Japan, and Jin Seong, Head of Development at Netmarble Neo, took the stage to introduce the game's core systems and content.
"In this TGS 2026 build, players can experience approximately 200 different types of buffs and 8 playable characters," said Jin. "In particular, we will deliver a unique action experience by implementing the Shadow Army—a core element of the original series—as playable characters that can be directly controlled, rather than just simple summons."
Renowned Japanese actor Kanata Hongo joined as a special guest, heightening the excitement at the venue. During the demonstration session, Hongo played through Story Mode and Survival Mode, showcasing the fast-paced action and spectacular visual direction of Solo Leveling: Karma to the audience.
Detailed information regarding pre-registration for Solo Leveling: Karma was also unveiled. Pre-registration has been underway since the 16th on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in both Korea and Japan. Participants will receive: ▲ Limited Seong Jin-woo Predator Outfit ▲ Limited Shadow Monarch's Halo accessory ▲ Monarch's Box and Hunter's Box containing useful gameplay items ▲ Secret Support Cards.
"With this new title, we are aiming to win the Future Category at the Japan Game Awards 2026," said Yamashita. "During TGS 2026, Netmarble will host various on-site events, including game demonstrations and merchandise giveaways, and we plan to actively engage with users to build anticipation leading up to the official launch."
