K-pop crossover group Dodree conducted unique promotional activities in Seattle, United States, to introduce Korean mix coffee and desserts.
Finding K-dessert combinations at a local Seattle mart
Dodree began by visiting a local mart in Seattle to find the optimal snack combinations to enjoy with Korean mix coffee. In the video, before introducing the Korean mix coffee, the members were shown selecting snacks to consider the tastes of the locals. The members examined various products such as sliced bread, chocolate cookies, and tofu sticks, contemplating combinations that locals might prefer. In particular, the members mentioned the 'Ace' snack, which is commonly enjoyed with mix coffee in Korea, and planned to use it in the dessert configuration to introduce to locals. Considering the local characteristic of eating a lot of bread, they conducted specific market research, such as choosing sliced bread or reviewing chocolate cookies with a mild taste as candidates.

According to information collected through conversations with local mart staff, the mart reported that the reaction was very positive when they provided mix coffee as a service to local customers, and there were even cases where customers who tasted the coffee came back to look for the product again. The members recognized that the sweetness of American snacks is higher than that of Korean snacks, and prepared a combination of Korean snacks and mix coffee to suit the local palate that prefers sweet things. In this process, along with the original product, they also prepared a less sweet and smoother white product to expand the range of choices.
"This is better than Seattle coffee" Positive reactions from locals
Dodree held a tasting event for citizens on the street for Korean traditional style mix coffee (Original and White). The members introduced the Korean mix coffee while revealing that they are K-pop artists. During the tasting process, citizens showed various reactions to the taste of the Korean mix coffee.

When asked which was better between local Seattle coffee and Korean mix coffee, one citizen expressed a preference by answering, "This one is nice." Another citizen shared their impression after drinking the mix coffee, saying, "Strong, but I like it." Some citizens expressed familiarity, mentioning they had already encountered Korean mix coffee through friends. Along with the tasting, the members also conveyed their identity as K-pop artists by requesting subscriptions to their YouTube channel and mentioning their team name, 'Dodree'. In particular, they continued to communicate with local citizens by announcing that a performance is scheduled at the Seattle Center.
The combination of K-coffee and K-pop, the results and reflections of the local promotion
After the event ended, the members expressed surprise at seeing locals choose Korean mix coffee instead of Seattle coffee, noting, "There were more people who liked sweet things than expected." The members also expressed regret that because they focused on promoting K-coffee through this activity, they could not more actively promote their musical identity, K-pop, and their team name.
As a result of this promotional activity, the members evaluated that they received positive reactions, such as locals taking photos or promising to subscribe, and that the prepared combinations of coffee and snacks were well-conveyed to the locals. The members continued active promotion, such as introducing a voting method using stickers to check the reactions of the locals.
