Singer 10CM (Kwon Jeong yeol) revealed his honest feelings regarding his musical working methods and future activity plans.

In the content ‘Grrrgalg: Jindae Talk’ on the YouTube channel ‘DinDin Is DinDin’, DinDin and 10CM Kwon Jeong yeol met to have a conversation about his musical journey and daily life. In this video, Kwon Jeong yeol shared news regarding a new album scheduled for release in November, which includes remake songs.

“A different game from IU's remakes”… Preparing a remake album for November

Kwon Jeong yeol revealed that the new album to be released in November will include remake songs. This started from feedback regarding ‘Dream of a Square’ which DinDin sang during his appearance on ‘Eardrum Boyfriend’ in the past; Kwon Jeong yeol explained that he told DinDin to contact his seniors to get permission for the remake. It is known that when DinDin sang ‘Dream of a Square’, Kwon Jeong yeol gave feedback that he sang the song so well that he should remake it since he had seen it elsewhere.

In particular, Kwon Jeong yeol showed a clear attitude regarding comparisons with the songs that IU remade. When DinDin mentioned IU and asked a question, Kwon Jeong yeol replied, “It is a different game just because IU remade it,” and “What does it have to do with you that IU remade it,” expressing his determination to do his own music rather than being conscious of other artists' moves.

“Marketing is major, work is bottom”… 10CM's musical identity

Kwon Jeong yeol described his musical working method as being at the ‘bottom’. He explained that regarding song production, he adheres to a method of following the points he is struck by. On the other hand, regarding the process of completed music being delivered to the public, he mentioned, “Marketing has to step in for one to become a major singer,” explaining the difference between musical work and marketing elements.

He also mentioned the fan concert scheduled for October at Olympic Hall. Kwon Jeong yeol emphasized that this performance is a place for fans, and regarding the setlist composition, he said, “Rather than popular songs, there are plenty of songs that fans like and that I haven't sung except during recordings.” He revealed the reason for his active performance activities by mentioning the environment where he must take care of the band members and his responsibility as a contracted singer. Kwon Jeong yeol added his attitude toward performance activities, saying, “If you are a singer contracted with a company, I think you must pay attention to this.”

“A face that needs management”... Visual talk in the ‘Gudi Zone’ shared with DinDin

The two continued a humorous conversation related to appearance management. Kwon Jeong yeol mentioned his efforts to manage his appearance before filming, unlike in the past, and together with DinDin, referred to themselves as ‘faces that must go out of their way to put in effort’. Kwon Jeong yeol shared the change that while he used to go to filming after drinking or not manage his face in the past, he now wants to manage it before filming.

Regarding his recent changed appearance, Kwon Jeong yeol stated, “I manage for my health through exercise and diet,” and emphasized the role of his colleagues by mentioning that his visuals are improving as the skills of the stylist and hair/makeup teams improve. He agreed with DinDin's comment, “The better they do, the better hyung looks,” while explaining the factors behind the visual change.
