'Love on the Menu' Episode 16 Preview: Ahn Hee-yeon's Secret Confession and Yoon Yoo-sun's Ominous Moves

KBS drama 'Love on the Menu' has released preview and highlight videos featuring key scenes ahead of Episode 16. The new episode appears set to focus on shifting relationships among the characters, along with emotional confrontations that bring their simmering conflicts to the surface.

The Episode 16 preview places Gyu-rim, played by Ahn Hee-yeon, at the center of a potentially decisive change. Gyu-rim finally confides in Mu-jin, played by Ha Seok-jin, revealing a secret that she has been unable to share with anyone until now.

The wording included in the preview explicitly points to Gyu-rim confessing her secret to Mu-jin. Because she has kept it hidden from everyone around her, the disclosure emerges as a moment that could alter the course of their relationship. What Mu-jin hears, and how he responds to Gyu-rim's confession, now stand at the heart of their changing dynamic.

Meanwhile, Yoon-hee, played by Yoon Yoo-sun, continues to linger around Gyu-rim. Her movements take a troubling turn when she comes face-to-face with Seok-jung, played by Ryu Seung-soo. The encounter adds another source of tension as the characters' relationships become more entangled and their conflicts intensify.

One of the Episode 16 highlight videos captures another sharp confrontation. A character played by Lee Joo-yeon learns that the character played by Ahn Hee-yeon is the biological daughter of Yoon Yoo-sun's character. The discovery leads to the blunt demand, "Get out right now," showing how the revelation immediately deepens the hostility among those involved.

The footage also shows three people unexpectedly ending up at the same table in a kalguksu restaurant. During the encounter, one character pours out the sadness, anger and remorse accumulated over the years, saying that all of those feelings will be rolled into a bowl of noodles and swallowed.

The character admits to feeling profound regret over the life he has lived. Looking back on the past, he says that if he could turn back time just once, he would come to his senses and live properly. He also laments that, had he done so, he would not have let the mother of his children leave in the way she did.

Family conflict surrounding Park Yoo-na's character is another major element revealed in the highlight footage. In one scene, she sits down to eat alone while the rest of her family is absent. Even though an entire hour has passed since the reservation time, no one comes to join her, leaving her to order a single bowl of jajangmyeon for herself.

The sense of estrangement continues in a situation involving an older sister who is getting married, with the family failing to share even one final meal together. Amid that disconnection, one character asks, "Did you block my calls?" The line makes the emotional distance between the family members unmistakable.

A further exchange centers on a relationship maintained on the condition that money be paid. The conversation grows increasingly barbed, with one person saying that all the money received will be returned and challenging the other to speak up if there is a problem. Together, these tense remarks expose the widening cracks within the family as Episode 16 approaches.
