A preview and highlight videos featuring key scenes have been released ahead of Episode 16 of the KBS drama 'Love on the Menu.' The upcoming episode appears set to focus on shifting relationships among the characters as their emotions collide and existing conflicts intensify.

A man lost in thought with his head bowed

Ahn Hee-yeon's secret confession and her changing relationship with Ha Seok-jin

According to the newly released preview for Episode 16, Gyu-rim, played by Ahn Hee-yeon, finally opens up to Moo-jin, played by Ha Seok-jin, about a secret she has been unable to share with anyone. The preview text explicitly points to Gyu-rim confessing the secret to Moo-jin, marking a moment that could change the course of their relationship.

Meanwhile, Yoon-hee, played by Yoon Yoo-sun, has continued to linger around Gyu-rim. She comes face to face with Seok-jung, played by Ryu Seung-soo, and begins making moves that suggest something significant is unfolding. Their encounter adds another source of tension to the increasingly intertwined relationships.

Yoon Yoo-sun's moves and escalating conflict among the characters

The Episode 16 footage also captures the conflict growing more intense as the characters' relationships become further entangled. In one highlight, Lee Joo-yeon's character learns that the character played by Ahn Hee-yeon is the biological daughter of the character played by Yoon Yoo-sun. The discovery leads to a confrontation in which she tells someone to "leave at once."

Another scene shows three people unexpectedly ending up at the same table in a kalguksu restaurant. Against that setting, one character says that they intend to mix all their sorrow, anger and regret into a bowl of kalguksu and swallow it. The character then admits to feeling profound regret over the years already lived.

Looking back on the past, the same character says that if it were possible to turn back time just once, they would live with a clearer head and make better choices. The character adds that, given another chance, they would not have let the mother of their children leave in the way she did. The reflection brings long-held remorse to the surface amid the mounting emotional clashes.

Park Yoo-na's isolation and conflict within the family

The highlight videos also depict family conflict centered on Park Yoo-na's character. In one scene, she sits down to eat alone while the rest of her family is absent. When no one arrives even though an hour has passed since the reservation time, she orders a single bowl of jajangmyeon for herself.

The situation carries added bitterness because the older sister is getting married, yet the family does not gather for even one final meal together. A character asks, "Did you block my number?" The question exposes the sense of disconnection that has taken hold within the family.

The confrontation becomes sharper as the conversation turns to a relationship formed on the condition that money would be paid. One character says that all the money received will be returned and challenges the other person to speak up if they are unhappy. The barbed exchange reveals just how deeply the family relationship has fractured as Episode 16 approaches.
