Lim Hyung-joo to Return as Radio DJ After 3 Years with KFN FM's 'To You Who Worked Hard Today'

This marks his return as a main DJ roughly three years after his previous program, cpbc FM's 'Lim Hyung-joo's Song for You,' concluded in October 2023.

'Lim Hyung-joo's To You Who Worked Hard Today' will air seven days a week, from Monday to Sunday, between 8 PM and 10 PM. The program can be heard nationwide via KFN FM 96.7MHz under the Defense Media Agency, with PD Jeong Ji-un and writers Lee Min-jung and Lee Ji-na participating in the production.

The program is designed to provide service members with a moment of relaxation through music after completing their daily duties. It also aims to evoke nostalgia for the parents of service members and middle-aged listeners through curated music and stories from their youth.

Lim has been actively involved in military-related promotional activities through the arts, serving as a Ministry of National Defense Nara Sarang Ambassador, a Culture and Arts Ambassador, and a promotional policy advisory member for the Defense Media Agency.

"Since the Defense Media Agency is located in Yongsan-gu, I expect to create various synergies with the Yongsan Cultural Foundation in the future," Lim said. "Personally, as I am returning as a radio DJ after about three years, I want to provide a relaxing time to listeners through music and stories."

Lim made his debut in 1998 and began his career as a regular radio DJ in 2021 with 'Lim Hyung-joo's Song for You.' In that program, he introduced a wide variety of genres, including classical, pop, and Korean popular music.

During the program's launch, congratulatory voice messages were sent by soprano Sumi Jo, as well as Choi Bool-am, Kim Hee-ae, Kim Su-mi, Baek Ji-yeon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Song Jae-hee, Hwang Kwanghee, Kim Mi-Hwa, and Jo Hye-ryun, while writer Kim Soo-hyun also sent a congratulatory note.

To celebrate the program's 500th episode, artists including Johnnó, Gaho, and sEODo BAND participated in a public broadcast. According to his agency, the show became a staple music program on cpbc FM, garnering significant listener support during its run.

Lim stepped down from his previous program in October 2023 due to overseas performance schedules and health reasons. Now, after approximately three years, he reconnects with his audience through KFN FM.
