Joo Woo-jae showcases Amekaji styling in Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil

Model and entertainer Joo Woo-jae recently shared a glimpse into his daily life by visiting Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, to showcase American Casual (Amekaji) styling. In the released video, Joo appeared wearing pieces from the domestic brand Espionage, explaining the brand's unique characteristics and item details.

Espionage French Wide Work Jacket: Features and Fit

At the start of the video, Joo introduced the 'French Wide Work Jacket' he was wearing, noting Espionage as one of his favorite brands. According to Joo, Espionage is a domestic label that reinterprets American Casual into a more relaxed style, characterized by its loose fits. He explained that the jacket is crafted from moleskin fabric and, unlike typical French work jackets, features lateral volume that helps complement the wearer's body shape. With a retail price in the 140,000 won range, Joo highlighted the jacket as a reasonably priced, cost-effective option. He also noted that an S size is produced separately to cater to female customers.

Exploring Semi Basement with Black Sign and Samurai Jeans

Joo then visited the Sinsa-dong select shop 'Semi Basement,' where he styled various looks by trying on different brands. The shop carries labels such as Black Sign, Samurai Jeans, and Kushman. In the video, Joo wore a coordinated setup consisting of Black Sign's Vocalion pants and Delta jacket. The Vocalion pants are 15oz, while the Delta jacket is 14oz; both items feature fabric of similar thickness and weight, allowing them to be worn as a cohesive set. He specifically noted that the Black Sign jacket features a shorter length that aligns with recent trends, offering a visually pleasing silhouette.

Additionally, he tried on Samurai Jeans products to examine the characteristics of High Oz denim. Joo discussed the charm of the fabric, noting the unique rough texture and the way wrinkles form in High Oz products. By observing items worn by the store staff, he also demonstrated the differences in fading that occur after approximately 5 to 6 months of use. He concluded his tour by trying on Kushman's chino and fleece pants, as well as Sugar Cane denim pants, showcasing the fit and texture of each brand.
