Gim Min-su of the comedy channel 'The Myeon-sang' has delighted fans with self-deprecating humor, jokingly referring to his current status as both a 'demotion' and an 'exile.' In a recently released video, Gim presented a 'Han River Annihilation Vlog,' where he enjoyed spicy stir-fried pork and ice-cold beer while flying a kite by the river.

The Members of The Mun-sang Share a Meal and Conversation at the Han River

“Not a transfer, but a demotion”: The 'Danjong-min-su' nickname follows Gim Min-su

In the video, Gim gave a wry smile as he defined his recent channel activities not as a 'transfer' but as a 'demotion' or 'relocation.' Despite the fact that his previous video, the sundae-guk (Korean blood sausage soup) episode, achieved high viewership, he showcased his witty banter by describing himself as being in a 'state of exile.' He also humorously explained the connection between the nickname 'Danjong-min-su,' born from fan comments, and the nickname 'The Sang Gim Min-su' used by other channels such as Psick Univ.

During the segment, the members maintained a playful atmosphere, defining Gim's current position as '2nd place' and calling him '2-hee.' Gim even joked with a hint of hope for the future, saying, “Don't I have to live happily even in exile so that I can return as a king again?”

A Han River Spicy Pork Party in 'Old Penguin' T-shirts

The main theme of the video is a feast and leisure time at the Han River. The members appeared wearing custom-made T-shirts featuring 'Old Penguin' and 'Last Penguin' designs, revealing a surprise gift for their fans. The production of the T-shirts, which was requested by fans, drew attention as the members personally drew the high-quality designs.

To begin the meal, Gim and the members set about cooking the spicy stir-fried pork. Jo Hoon showed his dedication by personally preparing ingredients such as onion and soy sauce, while Gim boasted of his culinary skills, jokingly claiming, “I do all the cooking at home.” He sent the group into fits of laughter by mentioning his wife's support and joking, “I cook better than my wife, so I can make her do the dishes.”

While gulping down ice-cold beer and enjoying the Han River scenery, the members spent a relaxing time flying kites. The members' realistic reluctance to show their homes and their shy behavior regarding visiting each other's houses added the characteristic, friendly charm of a vlog.
