Eun Ga-Eun to face Kim Seung-hye and Son Min-su on 'TV Show Authentic Masterpieces'

Singer Eun Ga-Eun is set to meet viewers on the entertainment program 'TV Show Authentic Masterpieces.' Recently, Eun posted a photo on her SNS making a V-sign and winking, encouraging viewers by saying, "Watch the live broadcast of KBS1 'TV Show Authentic Masterpieces' at 11:10!" In the episode airing on the 9th, Eun will participate as a member of the show's appraisal panel. She will engage in a quiz battle alongside Kim Seung-hye, who is expecting a child, and Son Min-su, making his first appearance. Eun has a history of winning first place on this program in the past.

An appraisal battle spanning from Ko Hui-dong's flower and bird painting to Buncheong ceramics

In this episode, artifacts featuring a blend of Eastern and Western painting styles will be presented for appraisal. The first item is the 'Flower and Bird Painting' by Ko Hui-dong, Korea's first Western-style painter. This work, featuring six sparrows, bears a seal first identified by the Geumgwan appraisal committee.

The following item is a table from the Joseon Dynasty. It features a hole in the bottom center, angular edges, and a unique leg shape. The appraisal panel will analyze various possibilities, such as the space for inserting the legs or markings indicating the place of production.

The final item is a Buncheong ceramic piece with a long, horizontal body and a spout attached to the center. Featuring the Guiyal technique—where white slip is applied with coarse brushstrokes—the piece will be discussed in terms of its intended use and appraised value.

A singer-songwriter journey since her 2013 debut

After debuting in 2013 with the digital single 'Drop it,' Eun has been active across both ballad and trot genres. She released the single 'On a Rainy Day Like This' in 2015, and that same year, her 'Sad Wind' OST for the drama 'The Scholar Who Walks the Night' reached number one on the overall Kakao Music charts.

Since releasing 'I Found a Reason for Saying We Should Break Up' in 2019, she has built her reputation as a singer-songwriter by releasing numerous self-composed songs, including 'Neon Eottae? Nan Geurae,' 'April 10th,' 'Bom Bom Bom,' 'Dang.Na.Gwi,' 'Byeolli [:Aebyeolligo],' 'Sarang Ani,' 'Dear. Lover,' 'Matnaettal,' 'Terrius,' and 'I Promise.'

She solidified her position in the trot genre by appearing as a participant from a different genre on TV Chosun's 'Tomorrow is Miss Trot 2,' where she finished in 7th place. On TV Chosun's 'Let's Be My Daughter,' she performed alongside the 'Tomorrow is Miss Trot 2' TOP7 members.

On MBC's 'King of Mask Singer,' she won the 29th and 30th competitions in 2015 under the pseudonym 'Little Witch Abracadabra.' In the 198th competition in 2023, she achieved runner-up status under the pseudonym 'Even if I fall seven times, I will get up again and challenge the Mask King! Seven Trials, Eight Successes.'

Having served as the MC for 'Trot Champion' in 2022, Eun also appeared on KBS2's 'Tuesday Nights are Good.' She has continued her radio career hosting BTN Radio's 'Eun Ga-Eun's Tiki Taka,' and since March 25, 2024, she has hosted the afternoon time slot as the DJ for KBS 2nd Radio's 'Eun Ga-Eun's Shining Trot.' Eun won the DJ of the Year award at the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards.
