SHINee's Minho reveals workout routine and solo album updates on UV BANG
SHINee's Minho visits the UV BANG YouTube channel to discuss his Namsan running routine and his upcoming powerful dance solo mini-album.
SHINee's Minho visited the recording studio for the YouTube channel 'UV BANG' to discuss his fitness habits and music. The released video captures his conversation with the members of UV, followed by the process of listening to and recording 'Fiery Charisma.' Even in the studio, the discussion centered on exercise, revealing how his fitness interests intersect with his musical life.

Running the Namsan Trail Before Filming
Minho mentioned that he went for a run at Namsan before arriving at the studio. He noted his fondness for the Namsan trail, adding that the course is particularly pleasant during the summer due to the cool breeze. He also shared his training method of running the same course twice rather than just once.
When the UV members asked for clarification on his "two laps" approach, Minho explained that he completes the circuit and then repeats it. The conversation then transitioned into his workout partners and physical conditioning, with Minho noting that he performs conditioning exercises with acquaintances.
Introducing Hyrox Fitness Racing
During the discussion, the fitness racing competition Hyrox was brought up. Minho described it as a competition involving various movements, including pushing and pulling, burpees, lunges, farmer's carries, and wall balls. He explained that instead of repeating a single exercise, participants must progress through several different stations.
The UV members joked about the unfamiliar competition name. As the fitness talk grew lengthy, it was suggested they save the rest of the conversation for later to stay focused on the recording session.
Solo Album and Studio Talk
During the video, Minho revealed that he is preparing his second solo mini-album. When asked about the genre, he described it as a powerful dance track, noting that the music is designed to make listeners feel the heat the moment they hear it.
While explaining the album, Minho continued to move his body, prompting questions from the UV members. He replied that he was doing so to raise his energy levels. In the studio, talk of the new album and jokes about exercise were exchanged throughout the session.
Recording 'Fiery Charisma'
Afterward, Minho listened to 'Fiery Charisma' played by UV and began recording. He first listened to the rap sections two lines at a time to find the rhythm, later re-recording parts to ensure his pronunciation was crisp and clear rather than slurred.
As he continued to move to warm up his body during the session, the UV members jokingly told him to focus on warming up his neck and the song instead. Minho countered that warming up his body is essential to warming up his voice. The video captures the full recording scene, including the process of listening to and singing along to the track, as well as the banter inside and outside the recording booth.
