or& Confesses Through ‘OK, Let’s Get Divorced’ OST: “I Want to See Us Change, Not Just Hear Sorry”
Singer-songwriter or& voices Baek Mi-young’s loneliness in “I’m Not Okay,” the second OST for the drama “OK, Let’s Get Divorced.”
Singer-songwriter or& has returned as the voice bringing the emotional narrative of the drama “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” to completion. On September 4, or& released “I’m Not Okay,” the drama’s second original soundtrack song, singing candidly about the emotions that surface when a relationship reaches its end.

Baek Mi-young’s theme captures the loneliness of feeling alone despite being in love
“I’m Not Okay” serves as the theme song for Baek Mi-young, the drama’s female lead. It delicately portrays the character’s state of mind as she begins to feel as though she has been left all alone, even while continuing to spend time with the person she loves. That contrast between being physically together and emotionally isolated lies at the heart of the song.
The lyrics trace how seemingly small remarks accumulate and gradually create distance between two people. Although both continue making an effort for each other, their relationship slowly drifts apart. The song translates that painful progression into words, capturing the loneliness of watching intimacy fade despite the attempts to hold on.
Lines including “I know you’re trying, but sometimes it hurts even more” and “More than hearing you say you’re sorry, I want to see us change” reveal Mi-young’s complicated feelings. Because she recognizes the other person’s effort, she cannot bring herself simply to hate them. At the same time, she can no longer pretend that everything is fine. Her awareness of both sides of the relationship makes the pain more difficult to dismiss.
The title “I’m Not Okay” itself symbolizes the moment when a person who has spent a long time struggling to preserve a relationship finally confronts her true feelings. Rather than continuing to hide behind the appearance that nothing is wrong, she acknowledges the hurt and emotional exhaustion that have built up over time.
Restrained vocals deepen the listener’s immersion
For this recording, or& set aside showy vocal techniques and concentrated on controlled, restrained expression. The approach was chosen to convey, in a calm and unembellished way, the inner life of a character who has tried hard to act as though she is unaffected.
As the song progresses, or&’s vocals grow deeper, communicating with persuasive emotional force the loneliness and wounds of someone becoming increasingly exhausted within a relationship. The gradual intensification of the performance draws listeners further into Mi-young’s feelings and heightens immersion in the drama’s story.
Vocal trainer Lee Bi-chae notably participated in both vocal direction and chorus, carefully shaping the emotional trajectory of or&’s performance. The measured shifts between restraint and emotional appeal add depth to the song, allowing listeners to experience the character’s feelings as directly as possible.
or& previously demonstrated an emotive vocal tone through soundtrack work for the KBS2 dramas “Young Lady and Gentleman” and “Woman in a Veil.” With “I’m Not Okay,” the singer-songwriter has once again strengthened a reputation as a formidable voice in drama soundtracks.
Meanwhile, “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” airs at 11 p.m. through KBS Drama and GTV. The drama is also available through TVING and Wavve.
