Goyang Goyangi merchandise coming soon as Localor unveils designs in September
Localor begins developing merchandise for Goyang City's official character 'Goyang Goyangi' following its successful revival project.
| NBNTV = Reporter Ban Jae-dong | Localor has commenced the development of merchandise featuring 'Goyang Goyangi,' the official character of Goyang Special Self-Governing City.

Goyang Goyangi is a local character known for its name, derived from the city itself, and its unique way of speaking. After a period of suspended official use, the character reappeared on Goyang City's official website and SNS channels this past July. The city has previously announced plans to utilize the character to promote tourist attractions, festivals, cultural events, and local commercial districts.
The development of these goods is a follow-up initiative by Localor, following the company's approximately 18-month 'Goyang Goyangi Revival Project' that led to the character's official return.
The company is currently reviewing product types, designs, and production methods. Specific merchandise designs are scheduled to be released sequentially through Localor's official SNS starting this September.
Citizen feedback will play a key role in the product planning process. Localor will solicit ideas for desired merchandise from Goyang citizens and character enthusiasts via SNS.
The company plans to incorporate proposed ideas that demonstrate marketability, production feasibility, and alignment with the character's identity into its final product planning.
Jeong Hyeon-bin, CEO of Localor, stated, "The Goyang Goyangi Revival Project began with the belief that a local character loved by citizens should be continuously utilized. As Goyang Goyangi has returned to the people, we hope these goods will go beyond simple character products to serve as a medium that connects Goyang City and its citizens.""
Localor specializes in product planning, design, production, marketing, and distribution by leveraging characters from local governments and public institutions.
