"From intern to full-time employee": Park Sungho on his first day as official MC

After completing his first day as the official MC for MBC's 'Show! Music Core,' Park shared his thoughts through a behind-the-scenes video. "I have shown myself quite a bit as a special MC, but since this is my first time as an official MC, I am very nervous," Park said in the video.

He compared the transition to "actually feeling like an intern becoming a full-time employee," adding, "Since my understanding of the work is already established, I think I can handle it with a bit of composure. An MC needs to be relaxed so that the staff doesn't get nervous, so I will try to show a very composed side."

Park also noted that he was assigned MC duties immediately following his birthday. "Yesterday was my birthday, and I feel great because I get to come to work right today," he said, expressing his determination to leave a good impression on the PDs and writers during his debut.

Testing MC qualities and chemistry with colleagues

The video captures the intense preparation process, including poster shoots, script readings, and camera rehearsals. During the poster shoot, Park displayed the passion of a new employee alongside his colleagues. He identified "unfailing energy" and "quick thinking in unexpected situations" as essential qualities for an MC. He explained that a music show host must maintain a bright demeanor to keep fans engaged between stages and possess the wit to smoothly navigate any broadcast accidents.

Furthermore, Park practiced his fundamentals by undergoing pronunciation tests to ensure clear and elegant speech. He worked on his delivery using various exercises, ranging from traditional phrases to complex sentences involving "gangnamgil."

"Live broadcast successfully completed": Park Sungho's thoughts after his first show

After completing his first live broadcast, Park evaluated his own performance. "I think the live broadcast went very well. As for Park Sungho, the 'full-time employee,' my personal evaluation is that while there were some regrettable parts, I did better than I did during rehearsals," he said. He added, "I think it is time to return from 'office worker mode' back to being Park Sungho."

Drawing on his experience as a special MC, Park noted, "The senior staff and other team members helped me a lot, so there were no issues with the hosting; rather, I thought it might help me relax a little more." He concluded his first day by greeting his fans: "ONEDOOR, thank you so much for coming. Please look forward to me in the future.""
