Secrets long buried in the name of family are emerging one after another, pushing the drama’s tension to its highest point. The KBS drama Love Is Coming follows the process of gathering the fragments of a broken family and rebuilding a warm life from them. At the same time, the story is exploring the characters’ complicated blood relationships and deep emotional wounds.

Son in Shock After Learning the Truth About His Blood Type in KBS Drama YouTube Trailer

A blood-type discovery triggers an identity crisis and shakes the family’s foundations

The most dramatic turn begins with the identity crisis confronting Han-gyeol, played by Yoon Ha-bin. After learning about blood types at school, Han-gyeol realizes that his own blood type makes it impossible for him to have been born to Gyu-rim, played by Ahn Hee-yeon. What begins as something learned in the classroom immediately becomes a devastating question about who he is and where he belongs.

“So I’m not my mom’s son, right?” Han-gyeol cries out. His words are more than a simple question. They convey the shock of watching the entire world he believed in—his family and his place within it—collapse around him. Unable to endure the confusion, Han-gyeol runs away from home and goes in search of Mu-jin, played by Ha Seok-jin. His decision sends the drama’s story into a new phase.

Behind this turmoil lies a confession from Yoon-hee, played by Yoon Yoo-sun. Yoon-hee reveals the truth she has kept hidden by telling Hoon-tae, played by Kwon Hae-hyo, that Gyu-rim is her biological daughter. The disclosure brings a concealed family relationship into the open, but it does not resolve the conflict surrounding the family.

Hoon-tae subsequently finds himself making an unavoidable choice: he lies in an attempt to make Seo-hyun, played by Lee Joo-yeon, give up. His lie deepens the confrontation between those trying to reveal the truth and those attempting to keep it covered. As the two sides pull in opposing directions, the family’s already tangled relationships become even more difficult to untangle.

Jin-kyung, in particular, finally understands the circumstances behind Hoon-tae’s past behavior. She comes to see why he once treated Gyu-rim as a scheming seductress and made claims that appeared to make no sense. With the hidden background now becoming clear, the relationships among the characters begin to shift and reorganize around their new understanding of the truth.

Conflicting choices and ambitions keep every character moving

The characters’ relationships are complicated by more than questions of blood and parentage. Their individual desires and decisions intertwine with the family secrets, adding further layers to the conflict. Each person’s next move has consequences for the others, preventing the family from finding an easy path toward reconciliation.

Mu-jin takes devoted care of Han-gyeol and tries to help him repair his relationship with Gyu-rim. Yet Han-gyeol has already been deeply hurt, and he cannot readily open his heart. Even when faced with Mu-jin’s sincere concern, Han-gyeol continues to respond with resistance. His reaction suggests that restoring this family will be neither quick nor easy, no matter how genuine Mu-jin’s efforts may be.

Meanwhile, Gyu-young, played by Park You-na, introduces another source of tension. After officially registering her marriage to Seong-wook, played by Ko Yoon, Gyu-young appears to have established a stable relationship. Beneath that appearance, however, she is seen pursuing even greater ambitions. Her actions contrast with Mu-jin’s desire to bring the family together and appear poised to form a new axis of conflict in the developments ahead.

Seo-hyun also makes a consequential choice. After Mu-jin draws a firm boundary with her, she decides to step aside and let him go to Gyu-rim. With every character making decisions from a different position, attention now turns to how those choices will reverberate through one another’s lives and further reshape the already intertwined family.
