Netflix Korea has unveiled a diverse lineup of new releases and trending titles for the third week of September. This week's selection spans various genres, from Joseon-era romances to variety shows capturing the winter charm of Daegwallyeong.

Snow White's Revenge: Three lives entangled in Joseon-era taboos

One of the week's major new releases, the Netflix series 'Snow White's Revenge,' tells the story of three individuals caught in a secret love bet set during the Joseon Dynasty. In a recent video, cast members Son Ye Jin (as Lady Cho), Ji Chang Wook (as Jo Won), and Nana (as Hee-eon) shared insights into their characters' narratives.

Lady Cho is depicted as a woman of extraordinary talent who is stifled by the social constraints of her era. To fulfill her own desires, she proposes a dangerous wager to Jo Won, Joseon's most notorious lover. While Jo Won claims not to believe in love, he employs every means at his disposal to win the bet and capture Lady Cho's heart. The fates of the three become inextricably linked when Hee-eon (played by Nana), a widow living a life of chastity, finds herself at the center of the gamble.

Kian's Bizarre B&B Season 2: A massive expansion in Daegwallyeong

The variety show 'Kian's Bizarre B&B' Season 2, where Kian84's imagination comes to life, returns against the snowy backdrop of Daegwallyeong. This season introduces a 'Giant Kingdom' concept, featuring an accommodation much larger than the first location. Kian84 is joined by new staff members Kim Yeon-koung, Lee Jun-ho, and Kazuha Nakamura.

According to the footage, the second branch is significantly larger in scale than the previous season, with an increased staff count. "The house has definitely become huge, and we've added one more staff member," Kian84 noted. Despite the freezing temperatures in Daegwallyeong, the cast shared the romantic atmosphere created by Kian84's unique design philosophy, while offering a candid look at the unpredictable nature of the production.

From romance to healing: Upcoming releases

Other upcoming titles across various genres are also set to debut. 'Pillion,' which won the Best Screenplay award in the 'Un Certain Regard' section at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, depicts an extraordinary romance between Colin, an ordinary and passive man, and Rei, a bold and charismatic biker. 'Salon De Nabi,' scheduled for release on September 20, follows the growth of wounded youths finding solace in one another at a hair salon.

Additionally, the office romance 'The Early Spring,' which has already entered the series TOP 10, was highlighted. The series follows the relationship between the notorious boss Lan Yan and the rookie employee Shang Zitao, drawing viewers in with its portrayal of the struggle to balance career and love.
