The MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'A Bona Fide Killer' is ramping up the tension by depicting the conflicting paths of characters chasing criminals. In episode 4, airing on the 8th at 9:50 PM, the pursuit surrounding child sex offender Pyo Gyu-cheol (played by Heo Hyung-kyu) begins in earnest. The central conflict revolves around the psychological warfare between reporter Kwon Tae-seong (played by Jung Jun-won), who attempts to cover Pyo Gyu-cheol's release, and detective Lee Dong-jin (played by Lee Sang-yi), who stands in his way.

Actor Jung Jun-won Proves His Talent as Journalist Kwon Tae-seong in 'The Married Killer'

Kwon is a social affairs reporter for a news agency who cannot tolerate injustice and consistently lands scoops. He demonstrated his sense of duty as a reporter by recording the scene at the site of Pyo Gyu-cheol's release. However, the situation changes abruptly when he encounters Lee at a nearby rest area. By then, Pyo Gyu-cheol had already been whisked away by Kim Bong-pal's (played by Sung Dong Il) group.

When Kwon asks, "Is this related to Kingfisher?", Lee responds, "Why is his intuition so sharp?" before firmly drawing a line, saying, "I am refusing your coverage from now on." Lee, Tae-seong's close friend and a lieutenant in the Violent Crimes Team 1 of the Nambu Police Station, does not understand the public's enthusiasm for Kingfisher. He is a determined pursuer who defines Kingfisher—who carries out private sanctions—as another criminal, believing that catching her is the true duty of the police.

Sales Team 3's operation and sudden developments surrounding Pyo Gyu-cheol

In the previous third episode, the operation of Durumi Electronics' Sales Team 3 was depicted, where they traveled to a Taegongsan pension for a workshop to secure evidence of an organ trafficking organization. The team members, led by Yu Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin), successfully carried out the operation by subduing the criminals.

In episode 4, a client meeting to deal with Pyo Gyu-cheol follows. Kim Bong-pal (played by Sung Dong Il), Bong Tae-min (played by Kim Nam-hee), and Go Young-gap (played by Heo Jae-ho) participate in the meeting. During this process, an unexpected variable triggers a pursuit between Pyo Gyu-cheol and Sales Team 3. In particular, Go Young-gap, facing Pyo Gyu-cheol while wearing a doctor's gown, heightens the tension with a meaningful smile.

The relationship between Kingfisher Yu Bo-na and her husband Kwon Tae-seong

Yu Bo-na is the manager of Durumi Electronics' Sales Team 3, having recently returned to the field after a three-year parental leave. She is a housewife dedicated to her home and children, but also a killer nicknamed 'Kingfisher' who punishes criminals that the law has missed. She resembles the nature of a kingfisher that rushes like a bullet when it discovers prey from above.

Her husband, Kwon Tae-seong, is a devoted man who loves his wife, Bona, more than his own life. Having once been a reporter dedicated to Kingfisher, he has maintained a perspective that neither blindly follows her nor labels her as a simple criminal. However, with his wife's return to work, he begins to pursue Kingfisher again, struggling between his sense of duty as a reporter and his responsibility as a husband.
