Starkov launches 'Departure Request' service for EV users

| NBNTV = Ban Jae-dong | Starkov, a specialized electric vehicle (EV) charging platform company, has launched a new 'Departure Request' service designed to reduce charging interference among EV users.

The service allows users waiting for a charging spot to request that a vehicle that has finished charging move in a non-face-to-face manner.

Through the Starkov app, waiting users can check the charging status of a vehicle ahead by entering the charger number or scanning a QR code. If the charging is complete, they can trigger the 'Departure Request' function. Once a request is submitted, the system automatically sends a KakaoTalk notification to the current occupant.

The service also features a two-way response system, allowing the notified user to reply by selecting either 'Departure Possible' or 'Departure Impossible.' This allows waiting users to confirm vehicle availability while enabling current users to communicate their status without disclosing personal information.

To celebrate the launch, Starkov is holding a promotion through the 31st, awarding 2,000 Eco Points per instance to members who respond to a Departure Request.

“With the surge in EV users, we need more than just infrastructure expansion; we need 'consideration-based charging manners' to utilize that infrastructure efficiently,” a Starkov representative said. “This service will significantly contribute to establishing a healthier, more mature EV charging culture by reducing the burden of personal information exposure and minimizing unnecessary friction between users.”
