Actor Song Ki-yoon shared his reflections on his acting life spanning over 40 years, along with the family opposition he faced when choosing the profession of an actor and the familial love that blossomed within it.

According to Song Ki-yoon's remarks captured in the TV CHOSUN 'Star Documentary My Way' video, he revealed that he has experienced numerous ups and downs while working as an actor for over 40 years. In the video, Song Ki-yoon reminisced about the passing years, stating, "It itself was life, and it itself was acting."

In a scene where he visits an elementary school playground filled with childhood memories, he retraced his life in his hometown, which continued from elementary school through university. Mentioning the warm local atmosphere where neighbors looked after each other's meals as if they were one family, and his friendships with friends, he suggested that the memories of those days became the foundation that made him who he is today.

A choice that overcame family opposition, and a mother's special heart

Song Ki-yoon confessed that there was intense opposition from his family when he first started acting. According to the subtitles and remarks in the video, the elders at the time expressed concern over his choice, asking, "What are you doing following another house?" However, as a result, his family came to take pride in his path.

In particular, he revealed a special bond with his mother. Song Ki-yoon mentioned an anecdote where his mother secretly prepared assets only for him, the youngest, saying, "Because mother gave it only to me without my siblings knowing, my siblings did not know." He explained that although he is the youngest male among seven siblings, he grew up in an environment where he called his female siblings 'unni' (older sister) according to family tradition.
