FRT Robotics, a specialist in industrial wearable robots, will participate in 'NextCon Korea Build Week 2026' at COEX in Seoul from the 5th to the 8th to showcase its industrial wearable robot, 'StepUp NEO.'
During the same period, the company will also participate in the 'Hoban Mutual Growth + Construction Expo' to introduce wearable robot solutions applicable to various industrial sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and construction. The exhibition will also feature real-world application cases from industrial sites.
StepUp NEO is an industrial wearable robot developed to reduce musculoskeletal strain caused by repetitive waist movements and heavy lifting. It utilizes a passive design that requires no batteries or motors, allowing for use without separate charging or power supplies.
The product features a lightweight design weighing approximately 3kg and a maximum hip joint range of motion of 120 degrees, making it suitable for various tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, and squatting.
FRT Robotics explained that electromyography (EMG) tests confirmed an average reduction of approximately 25% in muscle usage and 43% in muscle fatigue.
"Wearable robots go beyond being mere equipment that assists strength; the core is to reduce physical burden without hindering the worker's movement," a representative from FRT Robotics said. "Based on mechanical and ergonomic engineering, we will continue to advance technologies that can be utilized in industrial sites."
